Wish I never purchased a vehicle here
by Seaoflovers from Anderson,Indiana | May 14, 2020I had went for my appointment the other day because I had been having issues with my car . When I arrived I explained what was going on. The guy darted as if beef a female I didn’t know what I was talking about. I’m very aware of what is going on with my car and I didn’t appreciate that everytime I go ij there they act as if just because I’m a female I don’t know what I’m talking about . I was charged $70 something just for them to test drive my car ! the first time I ever had my vehicle serviced I expamijed what was going on with my car they did not charge me to figure out what was going on!! The second time I came for a visit to edpsmij about my car they charge me . I dojt feel it’s right to charge someone just to take a car for a drive when I made it very clear what was going on with my vehicle. I think it’d very discriminatory that just because I’m a female I don’t know what I’m taking about . I way I never purchased a car from here it was a huge mistake and wish I would’ve taken my business elsewhere. Usually they even wash your vehicle they no longer even attempt to anymore. If I coukd I would’ve never purchased a vehicle from here a huge mistake. If I had any choice I wouldn’t come here again for anything I would take my business elsewhere where I feel like my voice is heard and not overlooked because I’m a female !

I spoke to Alex on Wednesday or Thursday to let him know that I would be up there to look at it and possible buy the car. When I walked up to the car this is what the car looked like. What a disgrace on waste of time. The general manager comes out and tells me that the detailer has been out since earlier this week. So, it takes a detailer to just come clean out the car? Something should have click in my head when they only had pictures of the outside of the car online and not one picture of the inside. I WOULD NEVER BUY A CAR FROM TOM WOOD HONDA IN ANDERSON INDIANA, NOR TELL ANYONE TO GO TO THEM. I get it's a cheap car, but it doesn't take much to clean it out so you could possible have a sell.

by Veteran from Anderson, Indiana | August 10, 2019I have bought 2 cars there this year. The first experience was great. I felt I could trust them to take care of me and my family again. The second experience not so much. I was in need of a second vehicle, so I researched what I wanted and came to what I thought was a fair deal. It was an early 2000s Honda with less than 100 thousand miles. When I test drove the vehicle it had a check engine light on and took a few seconds longer that I thought it should to start up. I asked them to run the check engine code and check on the way the vehicle started up. They took the vehicle back to get looked at, then I was assured the vehicle was in good shape. It was just an 02 sensor. I trusted that this was the issue and agreed that was a minor problem and this was a good deal. I could replace the sensor myself. Within a week of ownership I had the codes ran, so I could purchase the correct sensor. That's when I found out they were less than truthful with me. The catalytic converter is going out and an emissions valve needs to be replaced, not an O2 sensor. The parts alone are over 600 dollars. From what I was told about and researched, when the catalytic converter is going out it can affect and delay the start up of the vehicle. Eventually the vehicle will no longer run and it's an expensive repair. I called the dealership back and was told there is nothing they can do. It was my problem when I drove it off the lot. I understand the car was as is, but I feel taken advantage of. I brought my concerns to their attention when purchasing the vehicle and I was informed there was nothing to be concerned about. I trusted them. They saw an opportunity to make a quick deal at the expense of the customer. I will not be taking my buisness there again. That includes future vehicle purchases and services. I will also inform my friends and family, so they do not have an unfortunate experience like I have. They have lost a loyal customer.

Just kept getting excuses after excuses from Brandon and Zach the manager. Never had any communication, I always had to call them to get updates on my car. Manager not apologetic at all just kept giving excuses. Never take your car to get serviced there!

Then it started cutting out. We noticed the Tom Wood Honda sign and pulled in for help. That is when we met Brandon Dalbey, Service Advisor. He had the car pulled in and scanned. The diagnosis indicated a cylinder misfire. Brandon checked and this was covered under our warranty. He recommended that we have the 100,000 miles service done while they had it apart. He was a courteous and considerate employee who went the extra mile. He found us a loaner to let us continue our trip. He called twice a day to keep me informed on their progress. And when we picked the car up, they had changed the oil and washed the car. It was a great service experience from your crew and Brandon.
