    Car buying on the internet
by Reggie Lewis from Katy, Tx | April 28, 2021

I was searching for a 2020 Corvette and found it online at 5 Star Chevrolet . I worked with salesman Joe Harrell via phone, text and email. Mr. Harrell very professional and patient. He assisted me and I highly recommend asking for Joe Harrell in sales and Lee Nolen in finance for your car buying process.

    Simply Amazed!
by BBouras from Garland, TX | January 25, 2021

These folks were pretty amazing. Jerry Lynn was willing to email me instead of constantly barraging me with phone calls. She was quick with responses and gave me accurate information. She got me in touch with Jimmy who worked on trade-in values. Then stepped in Joe Harrell who took me on my test drive of the Honda CR-V I was looking at. The car was excellent and was perfectly described on their website. We got back inside and Joe went to go get the first round of numbers. It ended up being the ONLY round of numbers because Jimmy got me what I wanted for my trade no questions asked, they honored their internet pricing withOUT me having to insist it, and there was nothing else on the sheet besides tax, title, license. Agreed to buy the car right then and there (Cash is King!). It was simply nice not being jerked around. Could NOT have been a better experience. No games, just an honest-to-goodness buying experience. Thanks everyone--It's really appreciated!

Just got another car from Five Star
by Shay MOORE from Argyle, TX | January 17, 2021

The garage just got another car from Five Star Chevrolet in Carrollton. Everyone is so amazing. The feeling you get just by walking in, game changing. Not the normal high pressure games I?ve dealt with in the past. Fair and fast. Honored the internet price. I know they advertise to millions of people on the internet. I went in expecting something different, like other dealerships I visited! Made an appointment, arrived to what is now my car, waiting on me. Some paperwork and was on the road in less then 45 minutes. My sales guy Ryan, introduced me to service and parts for future maintenance. Will definitely be back.

    Dedicated and Above and Beyond!
by Amanda G. from Lewisville, TX | January 04, 2021

I was looking for my teenage son's first car. I had a set budget and a few parameters. I originally came to them to look at one car, but wasn't sold on it. Randy and Gabriella were on top of it and found another car and let me know, the day it arrived at the dealership! It was perfect and perfect for the budget. My son is so happy with his first car and mom is too! On top of finding the vehicle, I also asked for a bow since this was a birthday gift. They even went out of their way to find one for me to take. Had a very easy and quick process, 4 days to test drive 2 different vehicles and purchase, oh yeah, right at Christmas time, too. Couldn't have been happier!

DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE
by DCFAN from Dallas, Texas | September 23, 2020

I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE TO GET SERVICED. I have a recall on my Chevy Cruze for the PCV. It had the check engine light on. I went to AutoZone and had them hook it to the machine to prove it was the same code for the recall and it was. So on Monday, 9/14/2020 I had my appointment to get my car diagnosed. They gave no paperwork... only had a verbal agreement stating if the PCV was not the cause then I agreed to pay $100. Rosa (lady with car loaners) was very friendly and helpful. I was placed in loaner car until they could tell me what was wrong with my car. I got a call from Ryan Knowles, which is the guy I had set up my appointment with and gave all the proper documentation to. He stated that the PCV was not what is wrong, the hose was broken on top of the car. Then, he turned around and told me it was $539 to fix it. I told him the PCV is the cause and it was covered. I had the documents to prove it. He said that the PCV is also bad and I also need to replace the tensioner as well as new wipers and a fuel injection cleaning. Well, I went up there and showed him the paperwork AGAIN. He said I have it in the system and I will talk to the tech in a bit and I will call you. I told him I was only concerned about getting the PCV done nothing else. I left. I went and ran a few errands. I got a call maybe 10 minutes later. Ryan (not a tech) told me because there had been previous work done to the car they couldn't do anything to it for the special policy. I had told him, what " Special Policy??" I then told Ryan "Sounds like you are just trying to get money out of me". Ryan wanted me to come up there Saturday, so he could show me what was wrong. MIND YOU HE'S NOT A TECH! I said ok. I talked to my father who is ASE Certified, been a mechanic for 40 years and he said he has never heard such bull. I called Ryan, and told him to get my car put back together and I'd be there in 10 minutes. He said give me about 30 minutes because it's double parked. I got there in about 10 minutes and it was sitting outside. I went in and told Ryan I don't care about looking at the car or anything I just want my car. He kept trying to tell me it was this hose on top of my car that was broken and that was the cause of the car issues..... FALSE. My father has fixed these issues on Chevy Cruzes already. I got to the point to get the tech out so my father can tell him what he's to be looking for. Tech seem to not know what he was to be looking for on this PCV, he knew his parts but not about this recall. They said that the hose was broken already, when it wasn't when I took the car in. I got in my car and left. I was driving down Beltline to head home and I hear this thing dragging on my car. I pull over and I had a bunch of lights come on, on the dash. I then started my car again, which it started overheating immediately. I look under the hood and I notice there is a string thing wrapped around my motor mount. Then I continue to look further down by the belt where the tensioner is located and my belt had shredded. They removed all these parts on my car and got in a hurry to put it back together that they didn't placed the belt on fully, which caused it to shred. I had to spend $90 to have my car towed to my apartment because of their carelessness. I should have read all the reviews and took it to another dealership that won't try to hussle you. Just some tips that I would suggest to everyone before getting service done to your car... Take pictures/ videos of your vehicle. DO NOT DO VERBAL AGREEMENTS, make sure everything is documented. Make sure you do research on these dealerships/auto shops before you have any work done.

    Poor Customer Service
by Jose from Andrade | December 16, 2019

Staff were rude and kept on hanging up when I was calling. Poor customer service. Definitely does not deserve the "Five Star" on the name.

    Car Buying Process
    by amramir from ennis,tx | November 12, 2019

I live an hour and couple minutes away from this dealership, and I’ve used cars.com to compare and find the good deals on cars I seen one from five star and decided I’ll give them a chance, I looked and looked at the vehicle pictures multiple times to make sure this was this SUV I wanted. And I finally applied, had a chick name Gabriela call me and of course ask for my information and told me she’ll get back to me so of course I waited and then another person Lloyd called and we talked, and I gave them more information like how much down, my co signer. And that was probably the last time I talked to Lloyd, after that it started getting out of hand. Because I had like 2 to 3 different managers calling me, and telling me the same thing or re asking me the same questions. And they would never update me, I think I honestly called them more then they called me and more then half the time it was someone different, I guess because I wasn’t going to put enough money “ downpayment “ in their pocket. They didn’t care for my car buying. Cause I literally dealt with them ALL DAY while at work. And then the Gabriela chick calls me and ask if I’m not going up there, my response was of course no it’s an hour away and I’m pregnant I’m not gonna waste my time when y’all haven’t even kept me updated nor told me anything important and when I asked her, she had a bit of a attitude “ well I don’t know what’s going on “ well you were the first person I talked to about my application, you would think IF they want a sale they would be able to tell you. So here I am trynna figure out which manager I talked to last, and finally we got off the phone. I decided I was gonna stay home and not waste my time going up there till tomorrow, and while I’m out eating a manager calls me I think his name is jason, sorry if I’m mistaken. tells me “ oh everything looks good, you and your co signer should be good. “ we were on the phone for a couple of minutes and then he ask me if I could come up there tomorrow to do paper work, test drive the car and etc. So I agree, ONLY because he made everything sound like a done deal. WELP I was wrong, the next morning. Me and my co signer ( my uncle ) head out about 8:30ish am to get there about 9:30ish am, as I’m more then half way there, I guess another manager who I haven’t spoken too, tells me they’re starting the process and they noticed something about my co signer pay and I’m thinking wait a minute. So I stop him and told him “ I was told everything was good, we just needed to come look at the car and sign “ and he asked who has told me this information, and I informed him. So he tells me to hold on he’ll call me back. Even though I’m already 20 minutes away, and he calls back and says well can do it but for $1000 more down, and then tells me “ we don’t want to waste your time, since you live an hour away “ . Y’all I was so pissed, I took the first exit I could to turn around. They had ALL DAY the day before to look over our applications and keep us updated, and instead they didn’t, and waited till a couple minutes before they closed to call me and tell me everything was good. It’s so sad they I couldn’t get the car I wanted, cause they weren’t professional enough about the situation. I was told to deal with dealerships outside of where I live cause they work With you better, and I was willing to drive there IF they did work with me. There is a reason why I did all the application process over the phone, so that I know what I am looking at BEFORE I go. So yep...my time was wasted with them.
