by DJK from Vacaville, CA | January 12, 2021I purchased a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan from Elk Grove Buick GMC in late December of 2020. It had 45,000 miles and I opted to purchase the extended warranty. Not 3 weeks after buying it, it wouldn’t start in the morning and the check engine light was on. I called the dealership to ask what could be done. The service department asked me if I had purchased the extended warranty, I said I had, and I was told that in that case it’s between me and the issuer of the warranty. I asked how I proceed with that and was referred to the paperwork from the purchase. I pulled it out and discovered that my extended warranty was good for 4 years or up to 60,000 miles. I specifically asked the finance manager if the warranty was good for UP TO 60,000 miles, or 60,000 miles past what the vehicle had at time of purchase. He assured me it was the latter, that the warranty would cover me for 60,000 past current mileage, meaning 105,000 miles. He lied. Consequently I paid thousands of dollars for a warranty that’s good for a year or so. As a nice little cherry on top, they also didn’t mention until after I had signed the paperwork that there were no floor mats and only 1 aftermarket key fob, which works maybe half the time if I’m within 10 feet of the vehicle. If you like being cheated by a dealership that doesn’t stand behind a vehicle you bought from them 3 weeks ago I highly recommend Elk Grove Buick GMC. Otherwise, take your business elsewhere.

Then they should be in the price. Literally pushing illegal tactics in ca. Horrible experience letting the dmv know about there tactics.

The Manager low balled me and would not budget for just $454 to pay off my car even though I knew I could get better. He would not lower the car price and after wasting over 2.5 hrs we decided to leave. On the way home we stopped at Carmax. They offered $1,000 higher than the dealer. We called the Nolan and asked if he could pick us up for the car we test drove. Nolan asked the Manager and he said he would give us $500 less than Carmax, I said no way. I told him I just sell mine here and an you pick me up, he then stated that his Manager said he could not let him pick us up because short staffed. I do not recommend this place do to bad Manager. I have to say Nolan did help as much as he could and could had a sale, but the poor Management lost our business and anyone that ask us about that place. To the Manager, you need to be more understanding and know that we all are going through tough times.

We didn't want their etched glass, their other add on's and price packs. We brought our own financing and were ready to buy at the advertised price, but not at the price plus all the unwanted crap. Don't waste your time like we did.
