    Great Car Buying Experience

    I walked into the dealership and was greeted by the Sales Director Jonathan. He was professional and extremely knowledgeable. He took my application and within 30 minutes he sat down with me and explained all my options. Within an hour I was approved and not to long after that I had the keys to my new car. The finance department was very friendly and professional. All in all one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. Would definitely go back when in the market for another car.

    Illegal practices. Unethical management.

    Illegal practices with illegal mandatory warranties and fees increasing the price by $4499 (before standard fees and taxes are even added). The salesman NICHOLAS MAGNUSSON, said he was going to have to "speak with his manager" to find out the final price for the vehicle. Upon returning, NICHOLAS MAGNUSSON said I MUST purchase an extended warranty for $2499 and a reconditioning fee of $2000, along with other fees and taxes even for a cash transaction. He claimed the reconditioning fee was for the conditioning necessary after they purchased the car from auction. The warranty and reconditioning fees are the ones that I explicitly argued against, as they seemed contrived and unnecessary. I made it aware it was a deal-breaker for the warranty and reconditioning fee be mandatory. I immediately went home to find out if it was even legal. I discovered it was not. I am reporting it so that this dealer is held accountable. I have also filed the issue with the Illinois Attorney General to ensure further accountability. Online reviews are also imminent.

    Shady to say the least - beware of hidden costs

    false advertising - price listed is not the price . I expect the advertised price does not include the Tax, title, license, and a dealer documentation fee but not a $2000 preparation fee to make the vehicle "safe for the road" and "presentable" and a mandatory $3820 GM warranty. I suspect all these fees were because I had my own financing and they had "buyers lined up" over the next 2 days.

    Deplorable

    Save yourself! This was by far the worst experience I have had as a consumer. The used car I purchased on a Friday no longer had the rear view camera I purchased when I pick up the car on Monday. As compensation they offered a free detail and oil change. Fast forward 4 months... I go for my free services and the next day the car stopped running. I take it in to be serviced by my local CERTIFIED repairshop and I am informed the car has too much oil. I contact Zeigler and inform them of the issue. I am informed the service supervisor is out to lunch but will call me back promptly upon his return. Never happened! So I call back and ask to speak to management and I am thrilled when I receive the general manager Ken. He unfortunately has to call me back because he can’t find me in their system (even though I purchased the car there and have had service there). He calls back promptly and informed me that my name was spelled wrong in the computer system. He then proceeds to refuse any accountability and is very condescending. We have a long dialog about the information I have received about the service they had provided. I finally give in because he has started to be very snarky and i inform him that I will get the car taken care of, but I am goin to file a formal complaint with the BBB at which point he then bans me from the dealership. The disrespect! Please do not patronize this establishment. I should have read the reviews and saved myself a lot of headache. Btw the engine caught fire ultimately due to the excessive oil. 3 quarts too much to be exact. Once again go elsewhere. Please don’t set yourself up for failure the way I did.

    drove 45 miles to buy a car, reached a deal for 22,300, i ask them to just make it 22k even, came back and salesman tells me some1 made an online offer for 25k and now if i want it i would have to match his 25k offer. what a xxxxxxxx tactic to manipulate 3k from a customer who had 22k cash in pocket to buy car. never going to any zeigler family dealership again, very dishonest and disrespectable people. backing out of their own written deal. people like these bring shame to dealerships
