    I reccomend vroom
by vroom from texas | October 30, 2019

This is so much better instead of driving to a dealership in person and having to haggle and go back and forth with the dealership. Vroom has had the best deals for cars this is my 2nd time buying a car from them. I have had no issues at all good vehicle and fast customer service.

So glad that I did not buy a car from VROOM
    by kevps133 from Hendersonville, TN | August 28, 2018

I should have heeded the reviews that warned about poor customer service especially when it related to money and refunds. I had started the process of buying a car and had put down the standard hold deposit while the paperwork was mailed. In the meantime, I found a much better deal on a better car elsewhere. I contacted the 'specialist' to cancel the deal, release the hold, and get the deposit refunded. Easy, right? No. After several days and no response, I contacted the specialist who assured me that everything was being processed and I should see the refund any day. More time passes, no response, no refund. I again contact the specialist who once again assures me that "everything has been cleared. I am not sure why it has not posted back to your bank. I will call the paperwork team once they are in office in the next hour just to double check what I am seeing. I have never had this issue before with a refund on a hold, and rest assured we are not trying to keep it from you." Again, no further reply and no follow up from the specialist. More days pass. 14 days after I cancelled the hold, I get an email saying the refund has been processed and could take another 10 days. Unacceptable. If you call customer service to inquire about the further delay, they simply say they are sorry and there's nothing they can do. I will never purchase a car from this group and I am so glad that I did not allow them to handle more than $500 of my money. As of this writing I still do not have the refund.

Sent Broken Car and Wouldn't Honor Their Warranty
    by ajbradley65 from Weston, CT | July 02, 2018

I recently purchased a car from Vroom and it went from bad to worse. I bought a convertible VIN # WP0CB2A96AS754073. I heard from them several times a day in the closing process until they received my money. Then I didn’t hear from them for a week. No email congratulating me on the sale, no what next steps to expect, nothing. I called them several times playing phone tag to find out when the car would be delivered since we were already seven days into what they said would probably be a 7 to 10 day delivery. The delivery came 15 days after they received my money and signed paperwork. And also after me hounding them because I had a tight schedule. When the car arrived the driver was nice, but the car was filthy and it had almost zero gasoline in it. I didn’t think I was going to make it to the closest gas station. However, that was nothing compared to the fact that the convertible top was broken. The top would not go down and would only open about 3 inches. So after having the car for about an hour it was already headed to the shop. I called Vroom within an hour to tell them the convertible top was malfunctioning. Vroom chose a local dealer where I could take the car. I took it to their recommended shop and the shop diagnosed that the convertible top motor was bad and they quoted an $1800 repair fee. I then interacted with Vroom to try to get them to pay for fixing the car. After all, it was broken when I received it and was under their 90 day warranty. They refused to authorize the repair. The warrantee clearly states, and Vroom customer support agreed, that convertible top motors are covered. So they are not honoring their warranty. When I asked why they were not authorizing the repair when the warranty covers the problem they said they were, “advised by a Safeguard representative the repairs needed were not covered.” I’m assuming that Safeguard is the warranty underwriter. So why does the warranty say it is covered (before I bought the car) but now it is not covered (after I bought the car)? It is hard to believe that their QA process missed the fact that the convertible top would not go down. I can only assume that either their QA process is pretty much nonexistent or they knowingly sent me a malfunctioning vehicle. So now, I need to contact a lawyer. And it has already cost me a few hundred dollars and a ton of time dealing with the fact that they sold me a broken vehicle and won’t take responsibility for it. I would not trust this company and would recommend against buying a vehicle from them.

    Perfect experience!
by Luke from Frisco, TX | August 16, 2017

Very easy to purchase, the entire thing happened over email and the papers were signed via overnight FedEx. Less than 1 week later, the car was in my driveway. It does take longer than a traditional dealer, but you don't have to sit there for hours while the paperwork and financing takes place. The car came in immaculate condition, no paint chips, no scratches. Interior was perfectly detailed and cleaned. Good price, low mileage, clean history report.

    No response
by Paul from Chicago | June 18, 2017

Tried to get a response from them a few times but they never bothered to respond, let alone acknowledge the query. Needless to say, I went elsewhere to buy a car. Also, while I am looking for cars within a certain distance to my zip, these guys pop up with the same car numerous times which gets very annoying.
