    they are thiefs
by Jhonathanlee from tampa | May 15, 2019

These people made simultaneous credit inquiries without my consent, even though I told them that I did not want more than one credit check because I was planning to buy a house and my surprise at the end of the month that more than seven letters of inquiry began to arrive. credit. but I want you to know that I am going to be a palate with the super lawsuit in federal court. and so that they have knowledge is condemnable by law when you make this type of scams and violation of the language when signing a person without knowing the written language and without explaining what is contained in it. we will see each other in court.

    Great Experience, Great Purchase
    by JHAM from Tampa,FL | December 28, 2018

I came in to the dealership to look at a Toyota Highlander with my 10month old. I wasn't positive I would purchase a car, but definitely needed to for my little one. I worked with John Weicherding and couldn't be happier! He was easy to work with from the get go. He gave me as much time as I needed to think through this purchase, call my husband, feed my daughter/change her diaper (he was so great with her too!) and patiently worked with me from 12pm-6pm! He worked with my budget and did the absolute best he could to ensure that I could afford and walk out with what I wanted. I'm so happy with my purchase and am thankful that my daughter and I were taken care of. Thanks Toyota and John!

    Scam and unnecessary repair
by SO M. from Tampa, FL | September 14, 2018

Toyota of Tampa Bay mis-diagnosed my Toyota-Sienna-2007 engine problem and indicated that the head gasket was blown. The shop provided me three options to resolve 1- Fix the head gasket, around $3400 (this cost if no more damages were found) 2- Replace the Engine, around $7500 3- Junk the car for $500 As you could see no good option. I was able to find a shop that replaced the engine for $3933, with better mileage than Toyota offers. The shop that replaced the engine discovered that the issue with my car is that the wrong Diesel fuel was added to the gas-tank mistakenly by my wife and not the head gasket-blown. Cleaning the engine would have resolved the issue. The misdiagnosed by Toyota of Tampa bay cost me $3933 in unnecessary repair and I am looking for credit/ reimbursement. I have told the manager/tech before working on my car that the car never overheated and was running good before the engine stopped running, I even told them that my wife added a gas in the gas station near Toyota of Tampa bay and the car stopped less than 1 mile later on the 15th street before Flower. There was no oil mix, radiator or any engine issues in the past 6 months. The car stayed in Toyota shop for around 7 days and I noticed that the car never entered the shop and stayed in the same parking spot that I towed and dropped the car to. In one of my many visits to the shop I asked the tech how he diagnosed the car since the car never entered the shop, he stated that he did something call chemical block test. I Later discovered that for the chemical block test to work, that the engine needs to be running and that was not the case with my engine. In addition, the spark plugs were never taken out and tested or looked at. The Toyota of Tampa bay tech was just guessing as usual that the head gasket blown without really testing the car. In addition to the head gasket the tech would like to replace the water pump, thermostat and possible other parts, which would depend of his finding when engine opened.

    Fees - Did Not Buy
by Name from Tampa, FL | August 29, 2018

Two things caused me not to buy: Fees and Lying. I was misled when I asked Dino what the fees were for buying a $5,000 car. "Tax title and license" was his exact text in response. Not true. There was a ~$1,000 dealer fee that he didn't tell me about, which is why I was asking, so I wouldn't waste my time. Could have saved me the trip by being upfront. Some dealers waive the dealer fee. It's a legitimate question to ask the fees involved. Buying a car takes a lot of time, so why waste mine? Because they aren't concerned about the customer? While I'm on about dealer fees, that should cover cleaning up the car and doing a maintenance check. I can have the car detailed and have a mechanic check the car for $200. The cost of the car went from $5,000 sticker to $6,500 out the door. I didn't buy.

Off the lot and out of mind
by Anne Kington from Tampa, Florida | July 23, 2018

Recently purchased a used Rav4 from this dealership. At the time of contract, agreed upon repairs were discussed and the cost added to the sale price. When I took possession of the vehicle, I noticed that one repair was of substandard item that was not as the original part. My messages and emails remain unanswered. Guess once you leave the lot, you no longer matter. Love the car, disappointed with the service (or lack thereof). I'll take my business elsewhere in the future.

Beware they sells damaged car on cars.com
by Gaurav Parikh from Tampa | July 19, 2018

I saw a car on cars.com which they are selling as discount prize so asked them why this cars is cheaper than the same car they have on their own website so they said we are running promotion which was lie. I was sold damaged car with clear car fax report and their collision department guy told me about damage. Steven davis who is director offered me 6 years warranty so I didn't go to lawyer which was mistake as they cancelled warranty within a month and took all money back from FIDELITY warranty co. There are sales person who always goes by different names then they have online so that people can not find them to call then out. I have now decided to fight them tooth and nail and help other not to fall in their trap. Please stay away from this dealership as they are fraud, lairs and sells damages vehicle as new and charge dealership fees too.
