From MESS to the BEST!!! A Tale of Two Dealerships
    by TrexReviews from Canton,Ct | July 08, 2020

If you saw my review two days ago, of the Gengras Chevrolet Dealership in E. Hartford, titled, "Classic Bait and Switch of Sparks and Tylers", you read about the miserable time I had there. I suggested you find a dealership that will treat you right. AND I DID!! Terryville Chevrolet and in particular, BOB DIMEO, provided the most relaxing, respectful, informative, new car shopping experience I have had in many years. I got that NEW SPARK afterall! And at a great price point. They even came down a bit more money too! The dealership had many people looking and buying cars. It had a very homey feel, like everyone was family. You could tell that the dealership is well liked in the area. There was absolutely NO pressure or harassment. I was left to look at all their offerings with ease. I located BOB and he was amazing! I could tell he loves his work and it shows. They honored the internet price right away, no hassles. Bob took care of all the paperwork and Title and Reg. right there. No hidden fees and no high pressure Extended Warranty Pitches. Just great info, and options given by John, for us to decide. Perfect! They put the car through a thorough inspection and detail even though the car was spotless already. I chose the Spark for my 80 year old Mom (ooooo…. she's not going to like seeing that lol), who is a spit fire. Bob spent extra time going over all the "new fangled" technology to make sure she was ready to set off safely. I really appreciated that and so did she! I would send anyone looking for QUALITY of product and service and staff, to Terryville Chevrolet. They PROVE that just because you have a rotten experiences elsewhere, it doesn't mean you can't find exceptional treatment there! One other note... they have some INCREDIBLE Corvettes and Camaros there and NOT ONCE, did they treat me less of a customer because I was spending much, much less on a Spark! That's what I'm talking about! Thanks Bob and T.Chevy

    Great car buying experience
    by John Kleba from Kensington,CT | May 15, 2018

We haven't bought a car in 6 years, and we were absolutely lucky to find our dream car here. The sales team was friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, and we never once felt pressured. They made our day! We bought a new 2018 Chevrolet Impala Premier. Love the car. The salesperson Meg has been a pleasure to work with, professional, not pushy and honest about the vehicle. She made everything painless! Check them out before you buy somewhere else.

    Amazing. Best experience ever.
by Bob Dimeo from Terryville, CT | April 30, 2018

So, I'm not one to enjoy car shopping. In fact, I despise it. Car shopping sucks. You're pressured, you feel lied to sometimes, and then you end up disappointed in something about the experience. Not with Terryville Chevrolet. First and foremost, my girlfriend and I drove two hours to come here. This was due to a sight-unseen appraisal of my vehicle and for the purchase price on the new vehicle. I was skeptical at first being that I've had dealers try and pull things on sight unseen valuations where they try and pull the price back when you get there. I went out of my way to describe the vehicle as good as I could (including multiple pictures), so as a heads up to anyone, this always helps. When I got to the dealer, I was met immediately outside by my salesman, Bob Dimeo. He came out in the rain to welcome us to the shop and immediately brought the Camaro I was likely going to purchase out to me. Not only this, but on the test drive of the car, he had the car filled up to the brim with premium fuel (I've had dealers fully content with giving you a 1/4 tank and sending you on your way). The car was, frankly, even better than the pictures showed. It is a CPO Camaro ZL1. The paint is perfect, the interior was spotless. As careful as I am with my own cars, it was a breath of fresh air to see such a well treated CPO on the lot. You can tell that Terryville Chevy cares about the appearance of their inventory. Finally, on the car, the pricing was impeccable. I believe that it may have been sitting for a couple of months or a month due to it being a 5th Gen Camaro when the 6th Gens are out (not surprising). So the price on the car was, to be fully honest, unbeatable. I did not even feel the need to haggle for a single dime. The pricing was that good. And there were ZERO hidden prices. When I got the invoicing, everything was on it as I expected. The transaction went incredibly smooth. We also then dealt with Stephen Venturo in finance. Another gentleman and yet another guy that treated us more like family or friends than mere customers. We probably spent another 15 minutes over what we would've done just by chatting with him. Once again, this was a no-pressure transaction. You know those warranties that dealers always want you to buy? Stephen explained them to us and then did not pressure us at all to buy anything. Where else do you find such a great experience? Their dealer doc fee is about average and I did not feel the need to try and negotiate on that at all. For the record, Stephen is meticulous about getting the details right. His motto seems to be, "Do it once, do it right." as documentation can be a real pain in the butt (especially for out of state buyers such as us!). So when you realize the effort that goes into getting things done accurately, you begin to question the document fee less (and, as said, I feel like it was industry average and certainly cheaper than many dealers). I also want to give a shout out to Geoff Butkevich. This gentleman was the person who appraised my vehicle sight-unseen and then stuck by the pricing. Again, I've seen plenty of dealers try and change things. I even spoke with Geoff on the phone (he was not at the dealership on Sunday) to make sure that his price was firm as long as my description was accurate. He assured me this was the case. And, frankly, he was 100% right!! The fact that these guys were honest, transparent, friendly, and without pressure? You're talking about the perfect car-buying experience. I cannot stress how easy this was. I've never felt more like a friend or family member than a customer at any car-purchasing experience. This was a really cool experience and I cannot thank all three gentlemen that we dealt with. You guys are a heck of a team and I can see why your dealership is so well-regarded. Thank you again.

    Body Shop
by Steven Lynch from Wolcott, CT. | December 27, 2017

vehicle was in for auto accident. Vehicle went in on nov 6 and picked up dec 20. the service was top notch and so was the work. my only complaint is the front tires were very low on air when I picked it up. 30lbs and should have been 65lbs. With time it was there and the amount of work that was done including oil change someone should have thought to check the tire pressure. Paint was amazing cleanliness was amazing and Bob was amazing.
