    Based on our preferences communicated to Sommers, the Mequon, WI based Subaru dealer, the sales rep did well in selecting a pre-owned certified Outback for us. A walk through instructions re instrumentation, etc. session was really not done were not satisfactory. Several days after we returned home (150 mile trip) we discovered that the push button start vehicle could start without any fob being present. We asked Bergstrom Subaruj in Green Bay (WI) to look at the car to solve the problem. The service rep there suspected that a third fob is hidden somewhere in the car, but the Bergstrom service rep could not find it after a 90 minute search. Problem still not solved. Further, the Green Bay service rep found a 4 inch gash in the upholstery low in the back of the driver's seat; the tear was missed by Sommers when examining and prepping the car for us. We expect Sommers to solve both problems without cost to us.

    They installed a new radio unit, but failed to assist with connecting my phone to the car when I experienced problems. Also, I had new tires installed, and the units changed. Again, they were unable to assist me.

    The car I was interested in (and drove 90 minutes to see) was listed as ~35K miles. When I got there, it turned out to have over 46K, and no wiggle room in pricing to compensate. Felt like a bit of a bait and switch to me. The appointment setter was great, very helpful, but I'd ask to confirm mileage on anything I was going to test drive before making the trip again.

    I have brought my Subaru Impreza into Sommers two times for the same noise. The scheduling department does not work with my work schedule very well. I hope the third time is the charm and I don't have to bring it in anymore.

    trunk carpeting at weather striping came out

    trunk liner at weatherstrip came out. I put it back behind the weatherstrip, but a few days later it was out again. Took to service dept. Left it there. I received call, was told the problem was fixed. returned to pick up vehicle. (that was 2 round trips 40 miles 1way. Within 1 week the fabric was out again. So problem was not fixed. Was going to take it back again, however, I feel it would be another wasted trip. Because I feel it was a defect in manufacturing of the liner carpet and when I was going to set up the apt. I sensed that this was going to be another wasted trip, because of the tone of the conversation, even though he was polite. I feel it was typical dealer defensive posturing.

    Working with this dealership has been a disaster for me. I purchased a Subaru Forester 2020 on June 30, 2020, which was financed through Subaru. I told them that I would be registering my car in PA, and they said there is a company that handles it for them. They said I just need to pay $4 for a temporary Wisconsin plate. I purchase the vehicle and left the dealership. One week later, I received a message from Sony, the financial person, who asked me to call him. I called and left several messages, and he never called me back. Finally, after several days of calling and leaving several messages, I was able to talk with him, and he told me that the other company could not handle my car registration, and I have to register it myself in PA. I asked: “What about all taxes and registration fees that I paid?” He said we would send you a check with that amount in a few days. I waited for three weeks but did not receive any check. Finally, four weeks after buying the car, I drove to this dealership, found Sony, and asked for my check. I found out that they never mailed any check! I had to sit there and wait for them to issue and deliver my check. This was just one of the problems with this dealership. My other problem is car registration. It has been seven weeks since the date that I bought my car, and they have not sent my car title to Chase bank yet. As a result, I was not able to register my car yet. I called Sony and left a message and never called back. Finally, I called Sommer’s Subaru today and talked with a lady in the title department (Alex), she checked the system and told me that they had not received any title from DMV yet. Really? After seven weeks? Considering my previous bad experience of not sending my check, I doubt if they even applied for a title. We all know that DMV is not that slow. Overall, it was a terrible mistake to buy a car from this dealership. Stay away from this dealership. I will update this review as my case progresses.
