    Lien on my drivers license

    My husband (Jake) purchased a van from select motor cars November 2016. When Jake purchased his new van he traded in his old van. June of 2018 my husband tried to renew his tag. Found out there was a Lien on his drivers license. The lien was for a unpaid tow on the vehicle he traded in. The event occurred in November 2017, a full year after her sold them his van. Select motor car failed to protect their customer. They sold the vehicle and did not ensure the title was transfered. Select motor cars says they are not required to transfer the title. I am unsure if this is true or not. However, their actions caused a lien against my husbands drivers license. Jake contacted select motor cars about the issue. He has multiple tags that expire this week and cannot renew them unless the lien is paid. Select agreed to pay $110 of the lien. Not the full amount. The fact they agreed to pay any is the only reason I did not give them 1 star. Side note. They are polite. Courteous. The vehicle my husband purchased was great. They are not bad people. Just a a crap event happened

    Quick, easy, no pressure sales.

    Working with John was easy, he's honest and knowledgable. I drove from St. Augustine hoping it wouldn't be sold out from under me like another car had, and also wondering if the car would have something wrong with it like another few dealerships had done but John fully disclosed the condition and there were no surprises! Took my new Eos to the VW dealer today and got the A+ seal of approval, I bought the car Saturday evening. Work with John at Select, you won't regret it!

    CMPLETELY UNEXPECTED! WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO BUY!

    I bought my 12 Mustang two years ago and I enjoyed the experience, everyone I interacted with were great! The paperwork was easy and they turned me on to a great financing deal with Campus Bank. I will return for my next vehicle to Select! Oh yeah, the car I bought is awesome and is a real head-turner! It's loaded and has been an absolute pleasure to drive. It was exactly what I needed and wanted!

    First of all ask for Jack! I searched for weeks for the car I had been wanting since I was eight years old- and I had finally found it with these guys!!! Even though I live in Maryland, almost a thousand miles away, I am so glad I went through Select Motor Cars rather than anywhere in my state, or the surrounding area because believe me I searched there too. Jack was so helpful and patient- we kept in pretty much constant contact on the status of my car/ wire transfer/ transport team to bring it to me etc and he answered all my questions with ease. If he didn't know- he found out for me- but this guy really knew his stuff and you could tell was passionate about cars too (like me)! Basically, he made the whole experience so worth while and so easy. It was painless and actually fun! So definitely ask for jack! Oh and just an excellent added bonus- no close out fees or anything at the end! The listed price was the price and thats it! Would definitely recommend to a friend!

    This was honestly the best car buying experience! First of all, ask for Jack! He is amazing! I live in MD but bought this car and paid for transport to me in MD. Over the course of a week I was in pretty much constant contact with Jack who was so patient and helpful. He answered all of my questions and seemed to take a genuine interest in helping me/ doing whatever he could to make the car buying experiences as painless and even FUN as possible!! When the deal closed he even detailed my car-- now I know its standard to clean a car before you sell it--- but we're talking full on detailed!!! When my car arrived it was gorgeous, even better than I had imagined and in perfect condition. Could not have asked for a better experience and am so glad I went through them instead of anyone else- even glad I went through them rather than someone in my own state. Oh and I almost forgot to mention- there were no closing fees on the car so the price stated was the price- no fuss!

    When I first called it sounded like they were intersted in the car deal and said they would get back in touch with me later that day, well either they forgot about me or did not think it was a good deal, I would at least have the chance to see if the deal was good to me. But the phone did not ring.

    Rather Disappointing

    I was in contact with Rafael in purchasing an older Cadillac El Dorado. I was trying to get financing on my own, but found it difficult for an older car. As a result, I submitted an application through his dealership. He was in contact with me, telling me that he was going to try to get financing from a local credit union in his city. I was told that I would hear back within a day or two. I heard nothing from either him again or the credit union. Fortunately, I found a car locally and received instant financing.

    Bought my son a Scion tC at Select motors from Jack. I've bought many vehicles in my life but this one was by far the easiest buying process. Great price on the car, NO DEALER FEES!!!!! Over all very pleased with my purchase. I'm from the Jacksonville area and will drive down to Gainsville again for my next car purchase. Great place and Great staff!!!

    By far the easiest car buying process I have dealt with and it was all done overr the phone. Rafael was awesome and handled all of my business and we were able to come to a good deal. I drove 6 hours to see the car for the first time and it was all that was said and showed in the pictures. I then traveled 6 hours home and it drove like it was a brand new car. Great experience over all and will definitely do business with them again in the future. And
