    Bait and switch
by Concerned purchaser from Los angeles | October 22, 2020

DO NOT go here unless you want to be taken. Was looking at an advertised car....written add...and when I got there POOF....thousands in added items they put on like LoJack that no one asked for BUT of course thousands of dollars and subscription based...and yes the clear tape door protectors for $450 where the auto store the tape costs $19 not on sale....and special lights that were fine to begin with. And to top it all off...their KBB appraised car we were Looking at and MY trade which was valued by Carfax.....well way way off. And the guys working with me....rude pushy and were not the ones who could make a deal so WHY are they sitting with me when I’m the one with the money and they can’t make the deal!!! Do NOT go here!!!

Waste of time DO NOT BUY HERE.
by Hunter from Vista CA | October 17, 2020

Why do you need a loan approval amount before you can give me a cost of the vehicle? Seems shady. Why advertise a price that is a lie, include cost of the upgrades that you're charging in the original price. Why hide actual charges. Again seems shady. IF YOU WANT A SHADY SHOPPING EXPERIENCE GO HERE.

    Worst dealership ever
by Javier Estrada from San Diego | September 15, 2020

Javier Estrada is the worst salesman there is. Confirmed an appointment with me only for me to drive 2 hours and supposedly he wasn’t in that day. Then when I told them the car I was there for it supposedly sold the day before. Why would you confirm an appointment if that’s the case? Wasted my time. Had to take the day off from work for this they should have to pay me back for my wasted time and wasted gas. What a bunch of xxxxxxxx. This dealership is the only thing worse than Westbrook’s jump shot.

    Stop and Don't Get Here!!!
by Genevieve from Carson CA | September 13, 2020

If you’re planning to get from this Hyundai Garden Grove dealership, stop and read this review!!! I got the car (2017 Hybrid Ford Fusion) on August 15, 2020. The car had a check engine light 12 days after! I was in the middle of I-22 when the scary red triangular warning “Stop Safely Now” appeared and the speed dropped to 40 miles per hour. In the middle of the freeway! Took the car back to them, all they said is “it happens, the car is a used one” and they advised us to take the car to Ford since it is still covered by a warranty. I got the car back one week after (September 3) and drove it again. But then it broke down again 8 days after!! The same warning came out but this time it was so much scarier – on the I-5; it happened at 10:30 pm and I was 50 miles away from home! Cops came to protect me from a possible sideswipe as I was on the breakdown lane, placed reflectorized triangles and stayed with me until Triple A arrived to tow the car and my boyfriend came to pick me up. The day after, I tried to communicate this to Hyundai Garden Grove, and all I heard from Sales Manager Robert (they won’t give me the last name) was “well, you bought the car as is.” I HAVE NOT EVEN MADE MY FIRST PAYMENT YET. He said he was not even apologetic. Yes, I was a bit emotional (I was crying, all things considered), but if I heard the word sorry I might have been pacified. I talked to a Consumer Rights / Lemon Law Firm and they said we can file a case. It could be a long, strenuous one, but we can. I just need to get the name of the person I talked to. I called again, talked to a Javier and he would not give me Robert’s last name, and just calmly told me to let my lawyer talk to theirs. That was when I figured that these guys are so used to a lawsuit. I checked their reviews and saw that they do have hundreds of bad reviews. Even the sales process was horrendously stressful with these people. After we looked at the car the first time and gave them our offer, they texted us to come back because they agreed to the amount. When we got there, they tried all kinds of schemes to get you to pay more…up until the signing of the contract (which happened almost 4 hours after we arrived), they continuously attempted to put all kinds of add-ons. I do understand the process, though, because I guess that is part of car sales training – do everything you can to squeeze more from your customer. I can understand that. But to sell a car that would break down within days of the actual sale and not be sympathetic to your customer’s cause is INEXCUSABLE, INHUMAN, IMMORAL and a downright insult to U.S. BUSINESS ETHICS, HYUNDAI business ethics, HYUNDAI MOTOR FINANCE business ethics, RUSSELL WESTBROOK business ethics. So please do not even think about dealing with these people.

Dealer will not honor advertised prices
by David Z from Solana Beach, CA | September 08, 2020

Do not buy a used car at this dealer unless you enjoy being scammed. They specifically advertise a price online lower than they are willing to sell the car for. They justify this by adding on a number of dealer installed options such as nitrogen in the tires, gps tracking, paint protection, etc... and then make these required as part of the purchase - this is not disclosed when you call or in the online advertisement. In our case we went up to look at a 2017 Elantra advertised for $13,000. When we sat down they wrote up a proposal for $20,000 out the door, including gap insurance and all sorts of things not discussed in our conversation. After talking for about 1 hour they wouldn't go lower than $15,200 plus taxes, fees and registration. This for a car advertised online for $13,000 and after confirming the price and availability by calling.

"You snooze, you lose",or "h who hesitates is lost"
    by Hyundai-less guy from Anaheim,ca. | August 16, 2020

The management and staff are truly there to help, but you might get bounced around a bit., and don't leave without buying something or when you get back, it'll be gone. Or rather before you get a chance to go back, they will sell the car you were dealing for. So, I had to leave but made arrangements to be back the next day, but they called me and told me that they sold the car I wanted. The sales people are doing the best they can, but I don't think they talk to each other. I know business is business but at least hold something to a day, no?

    unprofessional, no credibility,
by Vu Tran from Lake Forest, California | June 20, 2020

Do not do business with this dealership!!! Totally unprofessional, absolutely no credibility at all. I called twice to confirm the availability of the car before I came, advising them that I am more than one hour drive away. Both times, they confirmed the car is still available. I drove more than 1 hour arriving to this dealership to have them telling me the car was sold 10 minutes before i arrived. This is a old and dirty tactic that this dealer use against customers. They have no respect for their customers. Again, do not do business with these kind of people!

    careful here: bait and switch
by Jaime from Garden Grove, CA | June 09, 2020

Buyer beware . This dealership has a strange practice in which they advertise one price online and the website rep promises this online price is locked in for you if you come in that day. But when you sit down inside to begin the paperwork, at that point they inform you that the dealership has preloaded your chosen car with certain value added extras to the tune of an additional $2300 than what was announced online. They condescendingly inform you that you should have read the “ fine print” online. We will take our business elsewhere.

    Dishonest Prices
by Isaac Moore from North Hollywood, CA | June 05, 2020

I went to buy a car that I saw advertised online for $13,000. I arrive and everyone is friendly, I take a test drive then start talking finances, credit scores, etc... Until the salesmen says that the car costs $16,000 because of the “options” on the car. I inquire about which specific options. He states Navigation (which he said the car did not have during the test drive), auto emergency braking (which he said the car did not have during the test drive), and nitro in the tires. Navigation turned into lo-jack and auto emergency braking turned into flashing brake lights. I ask to speak to the manager. The manager comes out and he tries to sell me on the “options”, we argue about the definition of “bait and switch” and semantics of “options”. He talks to his manager for too long (waste of our time) until I walk to the manager's “manager” and ask if they can sell me a car for $13,000 which was advertised online to which I do not get a straight answer and I leave. Compete waste of time. They will lure you to the lot under false pretenses. Do not do business with this shady dealer.
