Horrible service does not follow protocol
by Entemen from fairfax, va | January 06, 2021

Went to Rosenthal Fairfax honda (where I purchase my new 2015 accord) to show them the flaking paint on the hood of my accord. The service rep and the service manager brushed me off without even following honda protocol. Prior to my visit to Rosenthal Fairfax honda, I've called my friend who works for honda in another state. He said the dealer should take pictures of the paint and submit it to honda (corporate) for remediation options if the flaking paint on the car was due to defect. Rosenthal Fairfax honda didn't even take the time to do that! They brushed me off and said they will not cover it. Once I got out of the Rosenthal service department, I called Honda (corporate) and explained my experience and situation. They agreed Rosenthal honda did not follow honda's protocol and opened a case so they can follow-up. I subsequently went to Honda of Chantilly, the service rep and service manager knew exactly how to follow protocol. They took various pictures of the flaking paint and advised me they're going to submit the pictures for review. It ridiculous how a dealership where I purchased my car can just brush me off without batting an eye and another dealership goes out of the way to help any customer. Rosenthal Fairfax Honda should be avoided at any cost!!!

    Review Rosenthal
    by JT from Baltimore,MD | November 18, 2020

Rosenthal Honda listed a new Honda Civic Type R in Cars.com for $37,495 (about $1,000 below MSRP). It was the best price around so I contacted the dealership to set up a visit and possibly purchase the car. Rosenthal replied back quickly and was polite. However, the sales consultant informed me that the sales price was in fact over $43,000 and not negotiable. The price advertised on cars.com is not what they are selling the car for.

Listed a car for $37k, and when I asked for final numbers... $51k. Don't give them any money, they'll waste your time and try to rip you off.

by Sarah B from Washington DC | October 27, 2020

Keith Derickson has supervised the serving of my Honda for the last 14 years. He has been reliable and honest. During the last 14 years I have lived in 3 states, but I have continued to go to Keith for service.

    Easy and fair
by Grace F from Laurel md | October 21, 2020

My lates used car purchase here was fine. Saw something online for a fair price and quickly got in touch with Jamal from Honda who was able to send me pictures of the vehicle. I live in Maryland so it took me a while to get to the dealership but I was able to test drive the car that had gotten prepared for me. Jamal was a pleasant salesman and very helpful. My only critique is having had take the car on my own and pay out of pocket to get the Maryland inspection. The dealership could have done this and this way their 799 processing fee would have been justified.

    THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER
by Ehson from Virginia | July 11, 2020

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER BUYING A CAR Honestly, if someone even paid me to buy a car from this dealership I wouldn’t because no amount of money is worth the mental stress and lack of customer service skills this dealership has. First, they leased us a car without having proper approval from Honda. Then they called me and told me I had to finance or return the car and take my trade in and pay for the cleaning they did on my trade. Then when I agreed to financing for a reasonable amount, they forced me to come back in and made me wait 2 hours before calling me up instead of having the paperwork ready to go. When we got up to finance, the amount they told me over the phone was different than the amount that was discussed on the phone. The finance director is a rude man and said, “I don’t care what sales told you this is what I have for you, take it or leave it.” I decided to walk out at this point and then the salesman harassed me to bring the car back. Finally they called me and apologized and brought the paperwork to my house and finally signed everything. Now they’ve had my trade for over 20 days and they haven’t paid off the balance with Capital One on my trade. I let the salesman know to please look into this for me and he didn’t get back to me because he was off and didn’t have anyone else reach out to me. Then when I tried to call the dealership to the finance department no one answered. I had to drive 30 mins to the dealership to get any answer on this for me. When I got there none of the managers even knew what was going. This is the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had. Honda of Fairfax has a huge problem with internal communication and how they treat their customers. Most of the people in there are fake and just put on a smile to get you to buy a car but don’t care about what they are putting you through. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED GOING ELSEWHERE.

    Excellent Sales Associate
by HappyRetiree from Woodbridge | April 27, 2019

Steve Choo replied to my husband's inquiry about a car we had viewed online and invited us to stop by Fairfax Honda. After reading the positive online reviews about Steve, I finally agreed to go with my husband to search for a car to replace the one I’ve owned for 17 years—and that I was reluctant to part with. I was immediately impressed with Steve’s expertise about all vehicle options and capabilities. Additionally, he was customer focused, straight forward yet friendly, and patient in answering our many questions. He listened to what we wanted, helped us make side-by-side comparisons, and negotiated a fair price. It was an absolutely refreshing experience working with Steve Choo in purchasing my new car. I highly recommend him.

    Dishonest salesman
by Daniel Montano from Fairfax, VA | April 26, 2019

This is by far the worst dealership I’ve ever been to for car servicing. Let me preface this by saying I have been a customer with them for 5 years. I went to get my car checked because I was hearing metallic sounds in my rear tire and wanted to make sure the brake pad was okay. Daniel ‘Danny’ Montano was the salesperson who attended to me. He took me to the work area and told me that the calipers, brake pads and rotors all had to be replaced for $1639.95. I took the car for a second opinion but not before they had already taken off my calipers and told me they needed to bleed my brakes. I was charged $154 for less than 20 minutes of work. At the second car servicing spot, Rosslyn Automotive which I highly recommend (reasonable prices, friendly and honest staff, speedy service) I was told that nothing was wrong with my calipers and I needed to have my brake pads replaced for $327. I was livid that this salesman, Danny tried to take advantage of me. I called him to apprise him of the price differences and that I was told nothing was wrong with the calipers and he denied any wrongdoing or dishonesty on his part. Stay away from this dealership! They are ready to scam you out of your money. I have no respect for Danny or this dealership. I will never go back to this location again. Disgusting!

    Poor service
by Aladdin from Fairfax, VA | January 17, 2019

We recently purchase a vehicle from Fairfax Honda and the whole process has an unorganized nightmare. The test drive and negotiation were fine. The trouble started after we agreed to purchase the vehicle. We decided to purchase the vehicle on 12/30 pending our mechanic's approval and were allowed to take the vehicle at that time. Our mechanic approved the vehicle on 12/31. On the same day, we went back to Fairfax Honda to complete the sales paperwork. Our salesman, Aladdin, said he'll make an appointment with the finance department at 3:30 in order to complete they paperwork. This was a blatant lie. We arrived at 3:30 and were not seen by the finance department until 5:45. Upon beginning to work with finance, we found the sales price we agreed upon had not been communicated to the finance department and the paperwork was incorrect. This resulted in the finance department reaching out to sales to verify. Once verified, they needed to reprint all the paperwork. At this point, we started going though the paperwork to sign only to find my wife's name was incorrectly spelled. Again, all the paperwork needed to be reprinted. Finally, after many hours of frustration, we completed the paperwork and were ready to leave with the new vehicle. However, this is not where our journey ends. -The low tire pressure light was illuminated. I brought this to the attention of Aladdin, our salesman, he said the shop is closed for the day and we should simply visit a gas station add air to the tire. -All vehicle detail information was left stuck to the car. I had to tear everything off the windows and then remove the tape residue with a razor blade and Goo Gone. -Aladdin ended up taking the vehicle to the gas station for us to fill up the tank and put air in the tires. He left the dealership in a hurry and bottomed the car out in his hasty departure. There are still on-going/unresolved issues. I've reached out the dealership numerous times to check the status of an over-payment refund and the status of our license plates. No one really seems to know what is going on. I end up getting transferred numerous times before I am dumped to someone's voicemail. I've left numerous messages with numerous people and no one has returned my call. At this point, I have no idea when I'll be receiving the over-payment refund or license plates. As the customer, I should not have to reach out for a status update regarding this information. The dealership should be openly communicating this with me. If you would like an easy and stress-free car buying experience, I strongly suggestions going else ware.
