    Amazing Community Outreach
by Cloud Covered Streets from Phoenix AZ | August 20, 2019

Right Toyota has done amazing things for members in their community. I have seen them take a boy named Brendan, who has a terminal lung condition, and give him life experiences that bring him so much joy and happiness. They have had multiple events to raise awareness and support for my nonprofit, Cloud Covered Streets, and because of their support we have improved the lives of many current experiencing homelessness.

    Patient, knowledgeable sales staff!!
    by J and B from Phoenix, Arizona | August 18, 2019

We went to Right Toyota with a few vehicles in mind. I should mention I don’t have a lot of patience with the car buying process, but my husband was unsure which vehicle he wanted. Ryan Jenny patiently worked with us to help narrow our choices, focusing on which features were most important to us. My husband had approximately 6 million questions, and Ryan was incomprehensible patient (way more than me, the wife who was trying to get the hubby to decide more quickly) and never once seemed the least bit bothered with all the questions. We test drove several vehicles and still struggled to decide. Ryan wisely offered to move the 2 “finalists” side by side so my husband could go back and forth between the two until one came out the clear winner. Jason, the sales manager, checked on us several times and even answered the entertaining questions our kids asked. Financing with Spencer was quick and easy. In the middle of filling out paperwork, I had to leave to pick up our daughter from gymnastics practice. (Again, mostly because my husband took so long to decide). Ryan and Jason were totally understanding and even offered to rush the process to assist. I decided to pick her up so she could be there when we actually got the new car, and they were so great about me pausing mid- process and coming back an hour later. The small things make a difference, too- like them offering you water as you walk around, the fact that they have such a nice, clean dealership (including the restrooms), and how nice the reception staff and all of the salesmen were to our kids. Overall, we are thrilled with our new Avalon hybrid and I can’t rave enough about how great the team is at Right Toyota. I HATE the car buying process in general but I LOVED my experience with Ryan, Jason, and Spencer. When we buy our next car, I will definitely go to Right Toyota first. I would recommend them to anyone who is intimidated or distrustful of the car buying process. They will treat you right- pun intended.

    "Too Aggressive of a Deal"
    by AJ from Phoenix,AZ | August 16, 2019

I literally accept the first offer given to me via email by a salesperson, and I go to purchase the vehicle that WAS IN STOCK. I drove an hour in traffic, then waited there with my wife and 5 year old for over an hour. In the mean time a manager tried to convince me to lease, and I spoke to multiple other individuals. Eventually, someone tells me the GM would not approve the sale of the car for the deal that was emailed to me. I was told it was they wouldn't honor the deal because it was "too aggressive of a deal".

Do not sign a lease with these people
by Sandy McLean from Apache Junction AZ | May 17, 2019

We were high pressured into leasing a vehicle and got so screwed. We lost all equity in the truck we traded in. They also lie to you. We asked for a Highlander booklet and they said they quit making them. Not true. The fact is the dealership has to pay for them and they are too cheap. We bought on Jan 30th this year and on Feb 4th our car payment was taken out of our account on the vehicle we traded in. It took many phone calls and weeks to get that money back from Right Toyota. We NEVER wanted to lease and today we bought a Tacoma so to get out of this lease. Since we had no equity we are now stuck with a big truck payment. We also had to pay full sales tax on our Tacoma because when you lease you don’t own so there wasn’t any sales tax to credit us for. We have bought a lot of vehicle during our life and this has been the worst ever. They will take full advantage of you every chance they get and lie to you. Do not do business with these people.

    Stay Away From Here
by Empathic from Scottsdale | March 06, 2019

I was swindled at Right Toyota in Scottsdale and their mandatory arbitration agreement makes it extremely difficult and unlikely that I will receive any restitution for their illegal and unethical actions. I am now doing everything I can to let people know about this place. My friend also had a similar situation with these people. -- I took my leased toyota in to see if there was a way for me to get into a better financial position as I explained to the staff. I had the toyota for about 6 months. I explained to whoever that my father passed away and I got some money from a life insurance policy and that I wanted to possibly get into a better position financially. Every single staff member that I talked to and that approached me was well informed that my father and mother had died and I had received a life insurance policy from my dad. I told only 2 people about the situation, yet 5 or more knew about it. By the end of my visit, I was feeling weird that they kept going on and on about my parents and I now believe they intentionally took advantage of me when I was in this emotional state. The sales manager told me that if I traded in the leased Tacoma, it would be "a wash," and I could buy another vehicle at no extra cost. "Win-win," he said. When I found a vehicle I liked, I asked them to give me the price. The sales managers response was, "dont worry, we've taken care of you." As I was in extreme emotional distress, the detail passed by. When I was in finance receiving a "disclosure" of the document and numbers, the finance manager told me that the top number "48,xxx" was my "total purchase price!" When in fact it was my total amount financed. He used his forefingers on each hand - One of his fingers blocked out the line's text while the other pointed at the number the was "disclosing." He did not disclose this number to me as amount financed. Who in their right mind would agree to pay almost 20,000 OVER sticker? Nobody. They intentionally messed with the numbers so that it they could explain it this way and steal 20000 dollars from me. After the transaction was completed, I decided to look at my paperwork and noticed that it looked like I was paying way more than I thought. I immediately called the dealership and the finance manager lied to me, saying that the extra amount was finance charge and would not be charged to me as long as I paid the loan off early. His misrepresentation and false disclosure gave me false confidence - for this reason alone is why I did not know about how badly I was swindled by right Toyota and their staff until almost a year later. When this time came, I was looking at trading in the tacoma. I decided to check how much equity I had in the vehicle. After paying over 30000 for a 47000 sticker price vehicle, I thought I would have some equity at very least. I was SHOCKED to find that I owed more on the truck than it was worth (after paying over 30000 into it). I called the dealership multiple times asking finance to get back to me. They never did. They obviously knew they had ran out the 1 year mark and celebrated their victory of screwing an innocent person out of 20000 . I tore my hair out for weeks trying to figure out what to do. I finally decided to contact a lawyer. After discussing my options, I couldn't afford to proceed with a lawsuit. I tried again to reason with the dealership. After hours I finally told the general sales manager that I would be willing to go to arbitration. He left and immediately came back with an offer to buy the vehicle back from me. At no point was I satisfied with this transaction. I only took this offer because it was the only way to get out of my tremendous debt to the vehicle. Nobody would be satisfied paying 30000 to drive a tacoma for less than a year. The "turning in" of my truck was direct expression of disapproval of the transaction. Why would I turn the truck in if I was satisfied with it? It wasnt something I couldn't afford, it wasnt worth it....

    Financing Mess
by Victoria I from Chandler, AZ | December 29, 2018

Jeff French made a mess of my wife's car purchase, so to cover his mess up, he lied several times to my wife and I and threatened us, if we decided to find a resolution through the Attorney general's office. Jum Galluci, the director of finance said that because they choose not to eat the cost of their error, my wife and I should pay $5,000 cash outside the contract, to balance out the negative equity on the sale or return the car they sold to my wife.

    Salesman was unprofessional
by Unhappy from AZ | June 22, 2018

Requested information about a vehicle by email only, no phone number was given. Salesman called another person associated to me and was rude to them. Hung up when the person tried to explain they didn’t know what he was talking about. Salesman then finally emailed me saying that it was not okay that I gave someone else’s number. Very rude, will never buy a car from this dealer.
