Bait and switch. Horrible Sales Manager
by Justin from Tarrytown NY | February 19, 2019

I have dealt with some unscrupulous car dealerships in my 30 years of leasing and buying cars,, but Ramsey Mazda, and the sales manager "Mike" win the Blue ribbon hands down. They will say or do anything to get you into the dealership. They will not , repeat not, stand behind anything they tell you on the phone or by internet. It's a purely " Bait and switch" dealership, hence all the negative reviews. I have been communicating for several weeks with a salesman who was nice but was clearly being manipulated on what to say by the sales manager "Mike" who has absolutely no people skills whatsoever. and how this man became a sales manager is beyond me., Anyway, after emailing for a few weeks I settled on a grey Cx-5. We agreed to price etc and I went down to the dealership 45 miles as I live in New York. I test drove the vehicle, and sat down with the salesperson to make a deal, at which time the salesperson excused himself and walked away and then Mike walked over and introduced himself as the Sales Manager. Mike then said " you want the grey color huh, I said yes, (I told him that 10x on email,)he said" Well there's something I forgot to mention, it has 900 miles on it." Me and my wife looked at each other in disbelief, I said" it's a used car, Mike said no, it's a new car with miles. Me and my wife immediately got up , while Mike started to curse and yell because I said I will be honest in my review to warn others,he said " write what you want, I'm not going anywhere" he started yelling which was kind of ineffective as he's about as menacing as Barney Rumble. So I went to another dealership nearby and man, what a difference. The sales manager was so professional , I purchased the car and was out in a half hour. So my advice 1) whatever they tell you on the phone or internet, they will NOT I repeat NOT honor when you come in 2) they are a pure "bait and switch" dealership 3) If you still go, and are approached by the con artist sales manager" Mike" RUN, don't walk, to another dealership 4) best advice is do not deal with these people. If you do you will be sorry. They lie thru there teeth, and are a prime example of how a dealership should not be, wish I could give zero stars, I'm sure the owner or manager will give some generic answer like he did in every other negative review, so my advice, read the reviews and decide for yourself, or listen to me and thank me later

    Won’t bargain what so ever
    by K Jones from Nj | May 30, 2018

I liked the salesman but too much song and dance with trying to get a better price. I went elsewhere fortunately. If they would have bargained a little they would have made a large sale. Greed is never a good thing.

    Worst Dealership Ever!
by Rachna Misra from belleville nj | January 09, 2018

This is a waste of a anyone's time and I highly recommend you avoid this place at all costs. I inquired about a car as well as the breakdown of the price for it and was informed that after the final price there was a prep fee 499.00 and the Doc 299.00 fee plus tax. After being informed that it was available we made an appointment to go see it that weekend and a rep even called to confirm the MORNING of my appointment that I was still coming in, which I was. Drove all the way up to the dealership and after finding the car and letting me take it out for a test drive, we come back into the dealership only to be informed that there was a deposit made on the car YESTERDAY so it is unavailable. Wasted a good 2 hours in the commute there and back as well as the time at the dealership. But that is not even the worst of it, to add insult to injury I get an email from ANOTHER sales rep as soon as I get home from the dealership asking if I'd like to come in and take a look at the SAME car I was inquiring about! What I can conclude from this is that either they were lying about having another buyer or this dealership is run with no communication whatsoever. Oh BUT THERE IS MORE.Later that day they reach out to me again and say the buyer didn't magically qualify now and the car is still available. So then I remind them of the fact that I got a deal from Edmunds.com which gave me a fixed price on the car which was in the dealerships system as I saw it on the sales rep's screen when he pulled up my name and the sales rep all but calls me a liar and says he cant find the deal and that Ramsey Mazda wont honor it, so after going back and forth he finally finds it and confirms with his manager that the deal is valid. The sales rep even sends me a email with the price breakdown. Now in the breakdown they add a Doc fee as well as a DMV fee. which should be the same thing so when I call the dealership I am informed that on top off all this there is an ADDITIONAL $500 fee which I was not informed about to begin with. Honestly this was such a waste of my time and I think these sales rep just want to get you in the door so before you go in I would say get an email proof of the price breakdown as well as make sure that the car is available.

Went to purchase a cx5 awd today between 10-11am
by Clover Rhoden from Monroe ny | August 03, 2016

Sale person was very militant. Even when I made an offer he flatly denied me. Asked to speak to his manager he refused to let me see him. His approach and lack of concern was appalling. I took my business to another dealer and got the same vehicle with a better offer and more customer service atmosphere.

    Willy is the BEST!!!!
by Michele from Hackensack, NJ | February 27, 2016

I have purchased my last 3 cars at Ramsey Mazda because of the excellent customer service that Willy Elkammary provides. Willy is honest, professional, conscientious, and listens to what your needs are as a customer. I have recommended him to my friends and family who in turn, have leased or bought brand new cars from him. I highly suggest that you stop in and talk to Willy when you are looking for your next car. He is the real deal!!!
