    Professional, Courteous and Knowledgeable
by StevenNYC from NY, NY | December 10, 2020

It was my first time purchasing a used vehicle out of state. My salesperson was Carlos Da Silva, he took me out on two test drives and I ended up purchasing a Lexus GX for a great price. He was very knowledgeable about both vehicles and very patient with my questions. Since the price was listed on the internet, there was no dreaded haggling involved and no surprise fees either which is rare. Trade-in negotiations went as smoothly as possible and was vey fair. My finance manager was Christopher Wilson, he was extremely thorough and explained everything in layman’s term. He presented me with all my options without any pressure. BTW while I was in Mr. Wilson’s office, Mr. Da Silva was in the showroom keeping my wife and kids entertained! Both of these gentlemen deserve the highest praise for not only making the car buying process as stress-free as possible, but for going the extra mile to ensure their customers are satisfied. I highly recommend Prestige Toyota due to competent and honest employees like Mr. Da Silva and Mr. Wilson.

    Used car shopper

Awarding these folks the title of Dealership would be a lie. When requesting additional photos and a copy of the vehicle inspection, the staff refused. They strictly wanted to get you on site to create a pressure sale. The staff was unprofessional, and belligerent. Toyota Corporate would be disgraced by such a lack of knowledge and understanding of Customer relations and auto sales. Even the Sales Manager refused to help.

Sums Up Why I Hate Car Shopping
by Warren from Washington | November 23, 2020

Went here after a failed experience at Toyota Universe as I was looking to purchase a particular CPO Toyota Highlander. Having purchased cars at CarMax and luxury dealerships, I am used to upfront pricing including fees, taxes and title. Facility: Very clean, and very spacious which was comforting in these times. Sales Associate: Rosse Diaz a great sales associate. See her if you buy in this area. Vehicle: the CPO had 3 dings, and a host of imperfections on the body--scratches, scuffs, etc. Looking even past these cosmetic issues, when testing the vehicle, there was a wind noise from the passenger side. Having bought my last car from a luxury dealer (BMW), I simply expect these issues to have been addressed prior to even listing the vehicle, but maybe I am wrong for that. Pricing: Drive the car, and I am ready to purchase. I tell the sales associate that I can pay cash or finance, whichever is preferable (some dealers get an incentive if I could finance for 6 months using Toyota finance). Given the imperfections, I was willing to pay $1500 under advertised pricing. The sales associate took my numbers, and countered with total of $7000 more. This included a $999 dealer prep fee and a $695 dealer sales fee (profit for selling me the car?) and a $200 fee for title handling. I inquired about an extended warranty option and was met with a $2500 offer? In total $32,000 for a used 2017 with visible imperfections. I countered to $26500, and they were not budging off of their fees. I even offered to pay a shipping fee of $500 to deliver the car out-of-state so $27,000. They would not budge from their number. I was expecting taxes (1800) and title/tags (100) at most, in addition to the price of the car.

    Boorish Behavior
    by MARK W from Bronx | October 24, 2020

A Most Unpleasant Experience. I accompanied my aunt who was purchasing a SUV and had the most unpleasant experience at Prestige Toyota. My aunt decided to give this dealership her business based on my prior purchasing experience. I previously purchased a vehicle from this dealership and had an exceptional experience. My aunt’s experience with the sales process was somewhat lacking. We shared this feedback with Mario Calle, the finance manager. We then also asked to reinspect the vehicle before taking possession of the vehicle. Mario Calle’s response was to became impatient and irate which ultimately led to him informing my aunt that he would “prefer not to sell her the car and that she could take her check and leave.” This was a check for $30,000. Additionally, during our exchange, he asked me my name. He then looked up my name in the computer and asked the following question: “You live in the Bronx right?” At this point, I was alarmed. What was his reason for asking me this question? Was this a threat? I construed this as a threat as if to say, “I know where you live”. I purchased my vehicle from Prestige Toyota and I service my vehicle at Prestige Toyota. His comments left me concerned for my safety as he has access to my home address. I have purchased many cars and this was by far the absolute worse experience I have ever had. Mario Calle’s lack of professionalism and boorish behavior was alarming. I will not return to Prestige Toyota for future purchases. I will no longer take my vehicle there for servicing nor will I refer any friends or family for purchases.

My name is Alexander Vizueta, this review is for John Parra, a very good sales person, he was very helpful, lots of patience dealing with everything when I was purchasing my used car. I am very content with my purchase of a used Toyota Avalon. Love my car. Thank you John, I will definetly recommend you as a sales person and of course Pretige Toyota at Ramsey.

Our lease was coming to an end and we needed to decide whether to buy a new car, buy a used car or buy out our lease. Andrew Eagle stepped us through the options and we are thrilled that we decided to keep OUR car. Very fairly priced. Highly recommended.

Save your time and take your money elsewhere
by Burcu A from Harrison, NJ | August 21, 2020

If I could rate this dealership 0 stars, I would. We knew what we wanted, we had an appointment, we decided on a price, we offered full payment, this should've been the quickest, easiest quota grab for them. We were purchasing an Acura at a Toyota dealership...literally off loading their dead weight. Instead we were made to wait 5.5 hours, with no end in sight because they couldn't properly staff or train their team. Forget customer service, they didn't show any human decency toward committed customers who were sitting on the floors of their back hallways because there was no where else. No water, no chairs, no urgency to process the deal, no offer of a loaner car to get home and back, no offer to call an uber. At 11pm we were still at the dealership, after cleaning crews came and left, after everyone else got to go home to their families on a week night, and were still here waiting on Toyota to act like a professional brand. I've never had to work so hard to give someone my money. The GM here clearly doesn't want to be in business. Our agent, Chris, left us on the dealership lot waiting on insurance to reinstate our old car under our name. He did not return our title or owner paperwork before driving off into the night. We were stranded, he just went home. These are not good people. Customers, especially Toyota fans, steer clear of this place. Its not worth your time or hard earned dollars.
