    IGNORE THE OTHER REVIEWS AS THIS IS NO LONGER ESSERMAN! This is now Palmetto57 VW and they were PERFECT top to bottom. They are trying to get Cars.com to expunge the old reviews on the old ownership, but haven't been able to. DO NOT LET THIS KEEP YOU FROM SHOPPING HERE! I just bought a certified pre-owned 2012 Passat from them and couldn't be happier. From the get-go, I had an excellent experience with them. Maria (sales assoc.) was polite, courteous, and genuinely appreciated the opportunity. She sent me a text message to introduce herself while I was on my way there. Her used car manager Tony was SUPERB from start to finish. He even had his detail shop spend some time buffing out some blemishes on the car while we finished paperwork. The finance guy that helped me close, Jay, knew every square inch of the paperwork making it a breeze. They were very fair on my trade-in. The car I bought was exactly as presented on the site (except for one major discrepancy - they had put BRAND NEW TIRES on it and hadn't mentioned that). The service dept. (manager and service agents that helped me with something) were outstanding. I was unable to walk through the place without a courteous greeting or an offer for refreshments. I honestly feel like these folks understand that they, the retailer, need us, the consumer, more than we need them. The biggest flaw of the operation is that it's 50 miles from my house! In all honesty, it was worth the drive in everyway. Go see Tony and buy a car!

    stay away go somewhere else, they continue to post cars for sale that they don't have available, for example the 07 red honda accord that is newly posted i went there about a month and a half ago to look at that car and it was sold. Just another tactic to get people to there dealership. Other dealerships may be the same but none as bold and shameless as palmetto57 nissan/vw. thank you

    While I still didn't enjoy my buying experience or my saleswoman, I was contacted by a member of Esserman and they did explain some of the inconsistencies that I mentioned in my earlier review. All in all, I would still not recommend Michelle but as I said earlier, I did enjoy working with the rest of her team. All in all, I still saved thousands of dollars by buying from Esserman so for that fact alone, I would have to recommend the dealership - just not the saleswoman I had.

    I bought a car at Esserman and it was by far the worst shopping experience of my life. I was purchasing this car from out of state and so I dealt with the internet sales team. The team was nice, but their manager, Michelle, was rude and interrupted me constantly when I was trying to discuss some items that were of concern to me. Upon receipt of the car, the owner's manual is missing even though the checklist I got from Esserman says that it is present and I can't even get it from them. How hard is it for a VW dealership to get me a VW owner's manual? I noticed that one of the tires was in extremely poor condition (cracks, bald) and took it to two tire stores to get prices - neither could believe that a dealership actually sold a car with tires that bad. I think the real eye opening thing was that my car was still listed on Esserman's site a week after my credit union wired them money and I had signed all of the paperwork. In the end, I do love the car that I bought but I would never do business with Esserman again.
