Don't trust the idiot in the parts department.
by That guy who won't trust Matthew's Dodge from Ohio | December 15, 2020Wow. Just visited their parts department, 12/14/20, the guy was a complete xxx, the only one not wearing a mask, sold me the wrong antifreeze/ coolant and now im having to take it to performance dodge in Delaware for them to flush and refill my Durango with the correct fluid. Good job from the guy who literally said "i ain't gonna argue wit you" extremely educated. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place.

by Disappointed from Marion, Ohio | November 10, 2020My fiance and I went to look at a new Ram that I had my heart set on. I'm the type of person to want to look at and possibly test drive a vehicle before trying to run credit. Well that didn't happen they just took off with trying to finance a vehicle I didn't get a chance to drive. Now it's a few weeks later and we get the credit denials in the mail and they ran credit for not only the truck but also a journey which we were not interested in nor were we asked about running a credit for that!!! Very disappointed because I was looking to stay local for a vehicle. We also asked about the credit amnesty and we got no information on this option, the income exceeds the minimum weekly requirement! Cone spring time we will shop somewhere else.

by EmL from Crestline, Ohio | October 05, 2019FIRST IMPRESSIONS MATTER! I received a "Win a Prize" ticket and pamphlet in the mail from Mathews. Before I almost threw it in the trash, I second-guessed myself, and pulled all the tabs up anyway to see if I won... I got three silver cars in a row, looked on the pamphlet and saw the different colors of cars, each three in a row, with an "=" sign next to each and a prize. I thought I won! I checked the fine print from all over the pamphlet to make sure I actually won the TV they listed as the prize for getting three silver cars in a row on the tab card, and I did! Right? Well, listed in the fine print, it said something strangely worded like, "Prizes don't align..." It seemed odd, but I brushed it off, because, so clearly, it showed the different colored cars, three in a row, equals (prize). Later, I talk to my husband about it, still skeptical, and he got excited, because he, too, looked it over and saw it looked legit. So, I called the number, gave them our special prize number printed on the pamphlet (keep in mind the pamphlet and tab ticket were separate) and the other end of the line said the usual "Congratulations for winning!" I talked to someone and set up an appointment. The next day, we drove about 30 miles to get to Mathews, walked inside for the first time, and sat down to wait for a salesman. A man finally came, didn't shake our hands, was very rushed, and started asking for our personal information and what cars we drive. He asked us if we were interested in purchasing a new vehicle, and we politely said, "Not at this time." Then, seemingly annoyed, he took our ticket and pamphlet and said, "Well, let's see what you won." We walked over to the prize area, getting excited, and he pointed to a board with numbers on it. He instantly looks under the tv prize (because it's three silver cars, right?) and said "Ope, your number isn't under there, so... you won..." *looks at bottom line that reads "Win a random cash prize $2-$100"* "$2! I'll be right back." I looked at my husband, confused. The man came back, handed me a $2 bill in a plastic sleeve and said, "Here you go." I looked at it for a second, still confused, and started to say, "Our ticket said we won a tv..." and before I could say any more, he said, "Oh, no, it says the prizes don't align on the pamphlet." So, we said, "Ok, thank you," and left. We were dumbfounded. (Did that really just happen? So, the tab ticket wasn't even part of the prize? The printed number on the pamphlet determined it?) Thinking about it later, we came to realize that not only did we fall victim to false/misleading advertising, we fell victim to, basically, a big "f- you" for the cash prize, because there was no system to determine how much someone would win. It was entirely up to the salesman. He even asked us, prior to that, how far we drove to get there. So it made it not worth our time OR money. We were incredibly disheartened, not just for the prize, but also for the way we were treated. What a way to ruin a Saturday morning. Looking through the reviews, I see other people were also conned here for other things, including investing in a "reliable" vehicle. NEVER going to give them our business.
