    Sales vechicles with bad transmissions

    I purchased a Yukon XL 1500 Denali from this dealership on August 1, 2020. After driving for a couple of days. I felt like the transmission might be bad. I eventually had time to get checked eleven days after purchase. I took to aamco transmissions in upper Marlboro. They informed me that the transmission was bad. They said someone changed the fluid to hide problem so they could sale car. Moe the owner has yet to follow up.

    questionable service department

    To begin with I cannot attest to Marlow’s sales department as I’ve never engaged them for a vehicle purchase. However, I must seriously question the performance of its service department. I recently brought my Jeep into Marlow Motor Company initially for a factory recall. Moreover, since the vehicle required an up to date state inspection, I requested that this also be done. The service department further convinced me to have a differential service performed due to the vehicle’s current mileage. Cost: ($400). In the end the experience was less than satisfactory to say the least. Marlow did provide a loaner vehicle for which I was most appreciative. However, after several hours I contacted the service department for a status update. I was informed that the factory recall, differential servicing and an oil change had been completed but that the vehicle inspection was being conducted at that moment. Soon after a service technician explained to me that the vehicle had failed the inspection due to its oversized wheels exceeding the distance of the fender flares. I questioned this as the previous inspection was conducted by the dealership in which I purchased the vehicle. No alterations have been done to the vehicle since its purchase. Why did it pass then? No satisfactory explanation was provided on why two dealerships would have different interpretations on Virginia’s inspection policies and guidelines, i.e., wheel sizes and fender flares dimensions. Having said this my biggest angst was why the inspection wasn’t performed first rather than last? With the vehicle failing, common sense and courtesy would dictate that the service department would have informed me of the situation and whether they should proceed with the differential service and oil change. In this case the answer would have been a resounding NO and I would have saved several hundred dollars. The vehicle is now “deadline” in my garage until next spring or summer. Again, I cannot speak about the quality and performance of Marlow’s sales department. However, for those looking to have their vehicles serviced for maintenance my recommendation would be to look elsewhere.

    EASY PROCESS AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

    I have purchased vehicles at dealerships before and I have to say that the Marlow process has been the easiest and fastest of them all. I was assisted by Ron and the dude was just laid back, was not pushy and just down to earth. He explain the process from A to Z and was easy to follow. Five stars for Ron. I traded in my old vehicle and I believe I got a pretty good deal on my trade in. When it came to signing the paper work, it was a breeze and the finance guy was very informative and again, just another laid back dude. Overall, our experience was great and I definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family. I bought a new Ram 1500, I love it!

    Replacement vehicle due to lemon

    I’ll start off by saying that this dealership did not have to help me with my issue. I had bought a vehicle at a different t dealership. Turns out, that vehicle was a lemon. I battled with Chrysler FCA to get a replacement. For 2 months, Marlow Motor worked with me helping me fight Chrysler. They could have simply turned me away, but they didn’t. Not sure why they didn’t because I was a complete pain in the a$$ and they’re also making nothing from this deal since it’s a replacement from Chrysler. Two months later and after many times of me getting frustrated with the dealer (for absolutely no reason), they were able to help me get in a replacement Jeep. This is unheard of. I don’t think any other dealership would have spent this much time to help someone out when they’re not making a dime from the deal. And their service department is incredible. 5 stars, this place is great.

    I bought a new truck recently from Marlow Motors and had an excellent experience. Dustin was my sales consultant and was a pleasure to deal with. He was knowledgeable and accommodating from the moment I stepped onto the premises until I drove away in my new vehicle. The sales manager actually come to speak with me during the buying process, which was greatly appreciated. J.C., the finance manager, couldn't have been nicer. I recommend this dealership for prospective buyers.

    Great dealership

    A few months ago, I sold my truck at Marlow. I wanted to offload my monthly payment. Roger, the sales manager at the time, took five minutes to look at the truck and offered me full price that I wanted for the truck. This went so well, I decided to trade my wife's car in for a new Jeep Compass. The buying process was very smooth and painless. The next morning, we realized there was a big scratch on the back bumper of the Jeep. We took it back to Marlow, they kept the Jeep for a few days and fixed it up like brand new, at no charge to us. This is when we met Maynard. Very friendly guy. A few months later, I decided I wanted to buy a used truck. I reached out to Dustin, the guy who sold us the Jeep. He spent weeks trying to find us the right truck. He reached out to me every couple days until he found us the right truck. Great salesperson to work with. Very friendly. The whole dealership made us feel like family. When we walk in the dealership, they offer us drinks and snacks and know us by first name. The dealership is small and personal. The Leesburg Dodge dealership makes you feel like just another number. Marlow makes you feel like family. We also worked with George and Ron. Great guys. Ron knew every person that walked into the dealership by the cars they purchased or had worked on. George goes the extra mile to try to find the car you are looking for. All of the negative reviews are disheartening. I buy/trade/sell vehicles rather often and working with Marlow has been the best experiences I have ever had purchasing vehicles. I will certainly be a working with Marlow in the future. My wife and I are expecting our first child and everyone at the dealership asked us to bring him by when he is born. Like i said, they make you feel like family.
