Hoping they can get it right.
by Hector Capistran from Chicago, IL. | November 26, 2019

I purchased a 2014 JEEP SRT November 4th, test drove it and it felt fine. After getting closer to home I started feeling a rattle and clunk so I called the dealer and they told me to bring it in the following week. I took it and and they diagnosed that the sway bar links were bad and a motor mount. According to them, those parts were switched out and the Jeep was fine. I went to pick it up the next day and test drive it before coming home an hour away again and all felt ok. By the time I got home, it was the same all over again. Called them and they said to bring it again. I just got off of the phone and they are telling me it’s the sway bar link again! I really hope they correct the issue so that I can update this and give them the CORRECT review.

    I bought a bad car...
by NICK from Cincinnati .OH | October 21, 2019

Three months ago I bought a camaro, when I put him back after payment, I found the car's engine and rear axle is problematic, and is a serious problem, the rear axle could rupture at any time, but I put the question after reaction to them, they don't give me a solution and they let me go to court, I have a full set of inspection report and chat logs, I just want to warn friends who want to buy a car, pay attention to their car.

    CAUTION
by Khayes22170 from Highland Park, Illinois | October 01, 2019

I would NOT recommend M and I Motors! We had scheduled a pick up for my Jaguar XF. I was assured you could not tell the car from new. My Mercedes trade was flawless. I live 5 hours away. So it was a gamble but the salesman was reassuring. I took the day off work and made the drive. I arrived and found the Jag covered in scratches. When I asked about the like new condition the salesman told me everyone has a different definition of like new. He said the car is mechanically like new. He also told me they deliver over 300 cars a month. I told him if this car showed up at my doorstep I would’ve turned it away. He brought out his detailer and the detailer assured me they can get the scratches out. His detailer did an excellent job and they did get all the scratches out. So I bought the car. After spending an additional four hours at the dealership. I’ve had the car for about 10 days now and they have still not paid off my Mercedes Benz and the bank just charged me another payment. So now I’m making two payments and praying that they don’t just keep my check AND my car. I gave them the check for the Jag and the Mercedes title so I’m not certain how to be sure they give the payoff to the bank. I guess this is a $20,000 gamble. I’ll update this once they come through. So far I’m out a $400 payment. Do NOT buy from here

by Kevin from Chicago | August 23, 2019

This was an awesome experience shopping for a new vehicle at M and I!! The whole staff is super professional and friendly. Joel, Scott and Craig were all great communicators and got me the deal I wanted on the car I wanted from the start. On top of that, it was my Bday and the went the extra mile to see the deal went through and I could not be happier about my AMG GLK. Don't sleep on this dealer! Hot cars, great people!

We found the truck we were looking for on cars.com and were able to schedule an appointment with Erik to view the vehicle. Erik was a pleasure to do business with and we highly recommend going to him with your future needs.

    Very Happy
    by James S from Wauconda | November 01, 2018

I bought an 07 Audi A4 from Craig. At the time I bought I believe my car was the least expensive car on the lot. They still treated me like a million bucks. More importantly I feel like I got a great deal on a reliable, car I am going to enjoy for years to come. Thanks Craig for the deal and service, and Thanks Julian for getting my loan approved. I would highly recommend and in fact I already have....

    Great service
by Erik from Madison, Wisconsin | August 24, 2018

I had a great experience there. Erik my son's salesman was the most helpful salesman I have ever met. He was very honest and transparent with the condition of the Audi my son purchased. He is highly recommended to whom ever decides to buy from this dealership. I belive a business is as strong as the people that represent that business. Wish I had more people like him working for my company. My family will be coming back to buy from him.

You can put makeup on a pig, but it’s still a pig
by Rick from Ingleside, IL | August 22, 2018

I didn’t purchase a vehicle from M and I, I have however checked out 2 different vehicles at this dealership, and both times left feeling scammed, at least scammed out of my time and energy. I’ll preface this with my credentials, unbeknownst to M and I, I am an ASE certified mechanic, and have spent an equal amount of time doing bodywork at a pro shop, so I’m definitely no shade tree mechanic or home garage bondo guru. M and I is a good looking dealer for a small volume independent dealership, it was clean and modern, the staff look presentable but definitely have the stereotypical used car salesman attitude. That doesn’t bother me too much. What does bother me are the vehicles. Priced at excellent condition, but mechanically and body wise amateur to poor at best. So case in point, used truck that is priced at high end of NADA, KBB, Edmunds, which is fine if the truck was in excellent to very good condition, which I was also told it was. So my second trip to dealer, Mechanically: Bad exhaust manifold, trans slipping mildly, frame rear quarter rusted so badly it could be pried apart by hand, front calipers ready to go, upper radiator hose ready for replacement, serpentine belt and accessory belt cracking and worn, catalytic converter bad, trans seal leak, oil pan leak, alignment off. Body: no accidents reported by the way, took a decent front passenger side hit, fender had been replaced(poorly), bumper had been pulled as well as subframe, and never correctly reinforced, tailgate replaced and latch not functioning properly, inner rockers with rust so bad a finger press indented, rust on tailgate/bed/wheel wells/hood/ fender(replaced one had no rust yet). All of this I feel was covered up well in photos. The bottom of the bed could be pushed and dented with a light finger press as well. What does this all mean? Lots of money, lots and lots of headaches. Now this is me doing a 15 minute inspection and a 5 minute test drive, if i had more time and some desire I could dig a xxxx of a lot deeper. I walked of course, but here’s the take home, I expect dealers to make money, I have a family to feed as well, and I’ve never expected to get a killer deal or take a salesman to the cleaner. I do however expect that when I look to purchase a vehicle, it’s accurately represented, and that I will be getting at least a fair deal, in both of these aspects M and I had failed. I only feel bad about the poor guy who comes after me with less knowledge and falls into a trap. M and I you don’t get my business, and hopefully you take his review as an opportunity to improve your ethics.
