    Poor service

Glenn was the most unprofessional salesman I have ever met. He was incompetent and lied to me during the whole process. I needed a car so I had to struggle through his bs. He was pompous and uncaring. The last straw was I called him at 1:00 pm and said I would be there at 4:15 to take delivery and could he please have the car ready.as I needed to get out of there ASAP. Got there at 4:10 and the car was not ready. I didn’t get out of there till 4:45. Also the finance man was very cold and inconsistent as well with what he initially told me. I would never recommend Hopkins Honda to anyone. The only bright star there is Ardell

When in for a Tire rotation, left with a loose rim. This resulted in $800 worth of damage to my drivers wheel, and no one has reached out to me about this.

    Honda Civic 2019
by Logan from Blaine, MN | June 06, 2020

It took around 4 hours to get a deal. I didn’t have any problems with the salesman but the person who was financing my deal made me feel a little pigeon holed into signing a deal with a higher APR but I had to basically beg him to keep looking for a bank who would offer me a decent loan. Not sure if I would personally go back to this dealer for my next Honda vehicle.

    nothing special
by Andrea from Bloomington | January 29, 2020

This was the only dealership that had the Honda Insight, so we were obligated to come here. The salesman had some knowledge of the vehicle, but not as much as i would have hoped. We were also told this vehicle was fully inspected, but it wasn't so we had to go back and have the inspection done. the also definitely pushed the "extra packages", which we did end up purchasing. Buying a car is already an unpleasant experience, and i don't know if we would have had a great one somewhere else, but it wasn't a great experience.

Unlike Arnold, I WON’T be back.
by Carissa S. from Hopkins, MN | October 19, 2018

I’ve brought my Honda (which was not purchased from them) here twice for recalls, and other than them not having ordered a part for a recall appointment that was scheduled weeks in advance and needing to go back for another visit to have that recall addressed when they did have the part, I was happy with their service department. Recently, I’ve been having a not recall-related “gremlin” issue with my car for a few months— sometimes it doesn’t start, sometimes it does. Because it was throwing more issues than just not starting and after talking to other Honda owners seemed to be having a very “Honda” problem, I decided to take it to the dealership instead of my usual mechanic thinking they’d be able to work more efficiently on it as I need it fixed before I head out of town next week. I should have known better. Yes, I understand that I’m paying Minneapolis dealership service prices and yes, I’m willing to pay to get the job done sooner rather than later, but FOUR HOURS quoted to replace a starter is twice the time it would take my regular mechanic, could he fit me in before I leave. What the time and cost estimate I was given tells me is that an independent shop that works on ALL cars is more efficient working on a Honda than a HONDA service team— got it, noted, won’t forget this. Got me over a barrel here (of my own doing, admittedly) and while I appreciate the free rental while my car is kept overnight waiting on the part, c’mon. Suffice it to say, my Honda will never see the interior of their service shop for anything other than recalls. I’d much rather give my money to my mechanic who is apparently not only better at what he does but also makes me feel better when forking (smaller) amounts of money over to a small local shop. If anyone wants the name of a good, reasonably priced mechanic so they can stop paying highway robbery, I’ll give you the shop name!

    Late model Ridgeline
by Larry Hamblin from Ankeny, Iowa 50023 | August 21, 2018

They had a Late Model Ridgeline and U was going to look at it Friday, but I called for a appointment and they had just sold it. I talked to Chris today and he was very kind and professional. I told him to call me if the get another Late model Ridgeline in. Nice dealership.

    Hopkins Honda in Minnesota
by K. Ogitchida from SAINT PAUL | August 16, 2018

We purchased a car from Honda in Hopkins. Sales was very professional, helpful and knowledgeable , the only problem was an issue with the windshield being damaged, sales response was wanting but we are hoping they will keep their word and fix it. Now the finance agent was rude and unprofessional. She discussed our business out in the open where other customers could hear including our credit score! Why would anyone think it is ok to address any client in such a halfcocked manner is beyond me. Training, courtesy and respect for all customers is seriously needed. I believe we were preceived as low lives and treated as such because of our preconceived class or appearance. I did not want to purchase the vehicle but my husband researched for CRVs for a year and it was his decision. It was the second best deal in the TwinCities at the time. I hope they don't treat anyone else the way we were treated.

    Easiest transaction I’ve made
by Dee from Minneapolis, MN | December 31, 2017

I just recently bought a Toyota Avalon from here and Colin and Nick were really easy to work with and made the process as smooth as possible. No stress no surprises just an all around easy process. Definitely will work with them again in the future. Great prices on their cars as well! Definitely recommend purchasing here.

Horrible service of humans and terrible experience
by Chi from minneapolis, mn | October 06, 2017

Christopher Goetz sold me a 2007 Honda civic sedan black. I was not confident of the purchase and told him I may return the vehicle, it was not a good fit for me. Admitting I should not have even bought the car. Well, if buying wasn't a pressured pain in the first place. Returning the car within their five day return policy was just as troubling. Again the paperwork took VERY long. And here are the worst key points. 1. When asking for my money back in documentation, Mike Parskalleh told me (my hard earned) $7,000.00 meant NOTHING to HONDA, because they are a multi-million dollar company. .. never did check those numbers BUT!!! I DO know that HONDA should not treat a customer that way. We are what makes you. I know cars and I know sales, I would anticipate and prepare for an experience such as this from Porsche or Mercedes but HONDA. I will never buy a vehicle from Luther Hopkins Honda, nor will I ever recommend them. Not even to the worst of people. However the only nice and kind person was Bill Holm, Financial Services Manager of Luther Hopkins Honda.
