    I have tried all morning to get through to Sales and Service and all I get is " your call may be recorded for quality of service" then the line is busy and no one ever answers so I keep having up and try again several times, still no response. Wow.......how can this be quality service. Very disappointed in Lithia Audi in Johnston for not recognizing they have a serious problem if no one in sales can answer the call. Long time Audi owner at this dealership. Will be hard to sell me another Audi if service access does not improve.

    I’d like to compliment Dennis Gilley, for the excellent service he provided. Dennis helped me search for a car in a fun, cheerful manner which I appreciated. He made car shopping less stressful for me. I was working with other dealerships around the Des Moines area and Lithia was one of the last dealerships I happened to come across on line. I called Lithia interested in a particular car and got a timely return call from Dennis. After we spoke, he knew my situation and what I was looking for. Within a few days, he was able to find a car for me that was affordable and dependable. I was reluctant at times, as this was my first major purchase/decision being recently divorced and a single mom. He talked me through it and helped understand the process. The day I was to pick up the car, I needed a shuttle to come and get me. They were busy and Dennis picked me up himself at my job and took me back to the dealership. Dennis and LIthia is to be commended. You can be sure that I will continue to do business with Lithia for years to come. I have talked to friends and family about Dennis and Lithia and recommended this dealership for their future car needs.

    A great car buying experience

    I had a great experience in purchasing my new VW GTI at Lithia Audi/VW. The salesman (Chad Alpin) was honest, straightforward, and very easy to converse with. He even came in on his day off at the time that I requested to complete the purchase. Chad also had the car pulled off the showroom and warmed up by the time that I arrived at the dealership which was fantastic because it was an exceptionally frigid day. I would highly recommend dealing with Chad if you get the opportunity, he does a great job representing Lithia Audi/VW. One thing that I noticed and appreciated very much was that all of the salespeople have offices with actual doors and not the cubicle warehouses that a lot of dealers have. I strongly prefer to be able to close the door and negotiate the purchase privately rather than looking around a cavernous showroom and wondering who is listening in on the conversation. They also sent me off with a full tank of gas which is one of the small things that I really appreciated.

    my husband and i purchased our 07vw touareg in late of 08. i am usually the one that takes our suv in for oil changes and repairs. the service advisers go over and above to explain everything to me. every time i walked into their service department I've been treated with respect. from the mechanics to the manager everyone is there to help make your experience with them pleasant and have you leave completely satisfied.the repair doesn't always go as planed and you have to be understanding with that. people work there not robots and you have to understand that. but the service manager and the advisers do everything they can to resolve the issue and have you leave happy. i truly feel that everyone there goes over and above for their customers.i love European cars and lithia of des moines is the great place to buy yours. you don't just get a great car you also get great service.

    I had service done on my 03 MDX to a fix noisy air conditioner motor, cost over $300. Problem was not fixed, but Lithia Acura dealer in Johnston, IA, would not fix it right or refund my money. I will never go there again, it was a rip off, and everyone should know how they operate.

    Refusal to Honor VW Certified Warranty

    I have a VW with 30K miles that is under full warranty as a Certified VW. When I called to make an appointment for a minor problem with the power window, I was told that the problem probably resulted from tampering by someone other than VW and would not be covered! The service writer told me that the warranty only covered broken parts, and that my problem would not be covered. He went on to say that all the car maker's warranties were the same, but I was shocked. I did not like that attitude at the dealership. When I told him that I did not buy the car at Lithia he told me that they could not help me, but the warranty is supposed to be honored by any VW dealership in the U.S. I was disappointed.

    The manager are very rude

    We went to buy Acura MDX, the manager is very very rude when we try to buy the car.I recommand not to go or i should complaint about that manager to Acura dealership who is ruining the business.I was very disappointed and my whole day was ruined.

    I purchased a Certified 2009 Passat from Lithia. The salesman(Elvis) and the sales manager(Brent) were very easy to work with. I am very happy with all aspects of the transaction and I feel like I got a great deal on a great vehicle.
