Where do we start, My experience with Licardi started because they had a couple of Cadillac CTS that were in my sites when I got there the first car I saw was a beautiful silver 17 the salesman saw how much I liked the car, I told him that I was also interested in the blue 17 that they had and was more money but I was told it was sold, but as of the time of this review is still for sale, wonder why he didn’t wanna sell me the other car, hmm interesting oh well anyway so now come to trade, car I was trading in had a trade-in offer from Liccardi Chrysler for $7219, Which would’ve given me about $1200 more equity towards the purchase of this 17, because I made a payment prior to coming into the Licardi, but when you walk in that all changes first he offered me $5500 then we settled on $ 6900, Anyway now he tries to sell me the line of xxxx about the dealer prep fee of $1595 WHICH IS A SCAM DONT DO IT and a $625 fee for a low jack ANOTHER SCAM because according to Jim every car that comes in for sale gets a low jack installed, Needless to say he did not get the $1595 he did get the $625 for a LoJack though now I get home and I realize that one of the run flat tires on the car has a split in it (my fault I should’ve looked better) But in any event I called them up and you would think after giving them $30,000 they would say OK come on down will give you the tire at cost which would’ve been around $200 Which I had already found mount and balanced $228 nope they Wanted $275, So now let’s get to that low jack that they said was installed and charged me for I called low jack to register my car to be told there is no lo jack in my car, hmmmm interesting, we hope that refund check is in the mail before the state gets involved. Highly recommend anybody looking to purchase a vehicle from this place or have already purchased a vehicle from this place to check your car for your alleged low jack.lousy customer service underhanded scheming tactics highly recommend staying away from these clowns. Now we wait and see if they want to play games with my registration, Which I’m prepared for as well bottom line prospective buyers be careful of this dealership

    Great Buying Experience
by Jeff Weiss from Warren, NJ | June 12, 2020

Buying a car has always been a stressful and somewhat aggravating experience for me – I enter the dealer feeling under-educated and overwhelmed by the stereotype of the “car salesman” and the “car dealer”. I’ve bought and leased more than 20 vehicles over my life and generally start getting agitated the closer I get to the parking lot of the dealer. So, I had the same feeling this week as I approached Liccardi Dodge. I was trading in a nine-year-old vehicle and looking to purchase a Charger. This time around I was not well prepared – what I mean is, I hadn’t done my homework. In the past I’d look up vehicle invoice, rebates, trade-in values, etc., and this time I didn’t do much. So, I entered the Liccardi showroom feeling a bit uncomfortable. I was met immediately by a gentleman who greeted myself and my daughter. He was very upbeat and made us feel welcome. He introduced us to Tony M – our Salesman. Tony was professional and after his manager looked at our trade-in we got to talking about price. I was skeptical when Tony M provided me with the deal that they were offering and ultimately my daughter and I left the dealer with no new car. When I returned home, I got to work. I ran numbers, looked at other dealers, read whatever I could, and I came to the same conclusion every time – Tony M had provided us with a very fair and honest offer. He never tried to hard sell, was incredibly nice even when we left, and he’d shattered my stereotype of a car salesman. Now, it was up to me to call him back and ask if the deal was still on the table. I called back the next day. I didn’t even recall Tony’s name at the time but quickly was advised who I’d met with – Tony M. Tony was great. He said the deal was still there and we headed back to the dealer to fill out the paperwork. From that point on, things only got better. Joe Liccardi, the Finance Manager, was awesome. He was friendly, he was personable, and our customer experience got better and better. In fact, as we finalized our financing, Joe advised us that he’d found us a better rate and reduced our monthly payment. Seriously, who does that when you’ve already agreed to financing? I knew no one at this dealer when we went looking and was extremely skeptical, but I cannot say enough positive things about Tony M, Joe Liccardi and the Liccardi Dodge dealership. I highly recommend them to others. They have a lifelong customer in me, and I feel much better about my future car buying experiences.

by Disabled family from jersey city nj | May 12, 2020

Went and bought a 2016 Town and Country from this place and they add another $2280 ON TOP of the $16388 price, $1595 prep fee and another $695 for lojack AFTER WE AGREED ON THE ORIGINAL PRICE. I went ahead and bought the van for my wife and autistic son. THE PRICE YOU SEE IS NOT THE ACTUAL PRICE. AVOID BRIAN THE SALES MANAGER, UNPROFESSIONAL. OWES ME A CHECK FOR APR OFFSET AND HAS NOT SENT IT. SOMEBODY SPIT GUM ON THE ENGINE COVER AND THE REAR TIRE WAS LOW AT 17 PSI!!! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!!

    Unprofessional
by FRANKLIN FASETT from BROOKLYN | May 09, 2020

Find out all the details and hidden fees before taking the long drive. I spoke to Jamie by email and over for the phone, we set a date and time to test drive. As I arrive Jamie Marshall was nowhere to be found, instead, a new employee that was very nice and welcoming stated" Jamie will be in at 11:30 am" our appointment was for 10 am. After a brief exchange of documents, I was given the keys and started a test drive, the car was amazing Audi A 8 well kept. I returned and started inquiring about the price, I was told the online price is incorrect as the car was on sale, the also added a mandatory $600 low jack fee and a 1500 transfer fee. The online price stated 31990 dollars after the fees, taxes, and finance charge I was looking at 38,900. I asked to pay in cash (as to get a better deal) and was told it's a 1500 fee and I must finance for a minimum of 4 months. Total rip off.

    Not Great
by noneyabiz from Westfield, NJ | March 16, 2020

Tried to make a purchase online. Scheduled appointment and asked for pricing options in advance on extending warranties. Nothing was ready for me. Mostly just a tactic to get me into the dealership. From there the salesman was nice but once the manager showed up the "fun" started. Wanted to charge me a fee for paying with cash (no mention of financing in the online add). No details on pricing just the "what total price would it take for take this car home"? Very frustrating experience for someone who wasn't interested in haggling and just wanted to buy the car for the price that was listed online. In the end I decided not to purchase the vehicle as I didn't feel I could do business with people I did not trust.

WASTED 5 HOURS OF MY DAY OVER A "PRICING MISTAKE"
by GKL1012 from NEW YORK, NY | March 14, 2020

Awful experience here. Wasted 5 hours of my Saturday because they listed the pre owned vehicle I wanted to buy $7k too low and didn't decide to tell me until after I test drove the car. The car was listed at $39.5k both on their website and Cars.com. I called the dealership as soon as they opened to confirm the car was still available. I even had the salesperson send me pics of the car because there were none on the website. I make the 2 hour drive to the dealership, test drive the car, ready to sit down and talk numbers, and the salesperson then decides to tell me the price of the car is actually $46k and they had fixed the pricing 2 days prior. YEA RIGHT, THE WINDOW STICKER ON THE CAR EVEN SAYS $42K! Then instead of owning up to the mistake on the dealers behalf, he kept trying to say it was my fault for not "doing my homework" to make sure the price was legitimate. I had to squeeze an apology out of him, knowing that he had me drive 2 hours there, wait around for a test drive, wait more after the test drive, for no reason. The best part about this is that as I was leaving, I spoke to the sales manager about the issue, and he told me the car needed $2k in repairs (which the salesperson didn't mention) and that he couldn't even find a buyer for $36k wholesale. Here I am ready to offer $39k, which is a VERY reasonable offer for a listed price of $39.5k. Waste of my time, what a rude and disorganized dealership.

by mike from Morristown nj | December 06, 2019

They advertise the car for $21990 and when u get there there is $1500 reconditioning fee. And if you dont finance through them there is an other $1595 fee. They try to get you with false internet price. Dont go there.

by Faruk from Burlington, Nj | October 27, 2019

The window price was 5 thousand more than what was online and cars.com and the finance personnel told em that I should feel lucky to have found the difference because if I didn’t they wouldn’t have told me that the price of the car was 26k and they would have tried to sell it from 31k. I wonder how many people they got like this. They are unprofessional and unethical.
