Terrible sales exp. and even worse for service
by Loyal customer lost from Roseville, Ca | June 30, 2019When I bought my car at the end of Oct 2017, part of the sales deal was that I would get my first 3 services for free. I asked for it in writing and Dominic Lao, the sales guy said , no no no, don’t worry! It’s on your account trust me! I said are you sure? I don’t need anything? He said no! I get their yesterday 6/29/19 for my 3rd service and they say my bill is almost $300 for 15,000 mile service! I said, this one is my 3rd free service right? The service adviser Ashley says no...? I told her the story and she said sorry, there is nothing on your account, you’ll have to talk to the sales manager ( Jim or Jay) at 830. I said ok, and waited until 830. Ashley comes out a few min after 830 and says oh, he’s not here yet, I can have him call you at 9. I said ok. Left Lexus and 9:45 rolls around and still no call. I called him and had to make the receptionist on the phone page him because she continued to tell me he wasn’t at his desk and wanted me to leave him a VM. I talked to jim or jay and explained to him what happen and he said, oh we don’t do that... our sales guys can’t make that call and we don’t ever offer prepaid service. I continued to explain to him the conversation we had and he said “ I’m not playing this he said, she said game. I need to talk to your sales guy Dominic. He’ll call you back.” At this point, im very irritated that a manager can’t make a decision and make the customer happy. The sales guy called me back and said he would never say something like that, but don’t worry, I’ll get it taken care of and call you back. I get a call from Ashley from the service dept. and says my car is ready so I asked her what the deal was with my bill. She said “oh they didn’t call you? Last I heard, there is no discount and you will pay the entire price. I’ll have them call you back.” Dominic calls me back again and basically said sorry, too bad. Everything we have is in writing and I didn’t write that anywhere. I went off on him and told him that he’s a sleezy sales guy and told him he’s a liar and that was the end of it. I had to pay the whole bill when I got there. And now actively looking for a different car from another manufacture. I have told my entire family about what happen as well as friends. A few were in the market and 1 was about to purchase a higher end Lexus but now decided on another manufacture as well. I will never give them my money ever again! If you are reading this, if you want terrible service and an experience where you are clearly taken advantage of and takes down to, please visit Lexus of Roseville. If you want to be respected and valued as a customer visit anywhere else.

Can't drive at night with only one headlight, right? Safety first..... plus, met a Lexus of Roseville salesperson at the car show and he was very very informative and I shared with him my experience at his dealership.

I was shopping for my first Lexus sedan and I had 4 dealerships In hand (2 from Sacramento region and 2 from Bay Area), but Yargo Basta stands out to be the best Sales guy. He was very patient answering all of my inquiries and provided all the best options for me. Everything went smoothly from meeting Yargo, test driving the car, finance dept and to their technologist. I will definitely come back to this dealership for my next Lexus SUV in the future.

by Docz from Folsom, CA | November 13, 2013Had my Lexus towed in due to a starter problem and a front headlamp needing repair. At first everything was good, convenient hours, friendly staff and a good loaner car. The fix for the starter was straight forward, however there was a problem with the headlamp that required the car to be kept over the weekend. I was kept up to date and had the loaner for the weekend. The problems began Monday evening after retrieving the car. On the way back from work I noticed that the headlamp that was replaced was not properly installed so that the light was lighting the bottom of the trees instead of the road. Additionally there was now an odd beam of light shooting out at a 45 degree angle and it was about the size and shape of a speed limit sign when it illuminated objects. To make matters worse, the headlamps were now two different colors. The replacement was yellow, (bulb, not covering) and the other was white,( also replaced by Lexus at an earlier time). I called Lexus that evening and left a description of the problem and asked to be contacted. By mid morning there was no contact from Lexus so I photographed the problems and sent an email to the service advisor that had been helping me. By late afternoon I still hadn't received a call or email so I phoned again and was told he was with a customer so I left another message. I didn't receive any calls or return emails that day. The next day I copied the email sent earlier, with the photos, and sent one to the service manager and one to the General Manager. By late afternoon, I received a call from the original service advisor. He mentioned correcting the imbalance but I had to remind him that there was a beam of light coming out of the side and that the headlamps were two different colors. His response was, "that's odd, we'll have to take a look, maybe the bulb didn't seat right" and " the bulb we put in was what originally comes with the car". I had mentioned in my email that I didn't want to have to close my business to come down and take care of a problem created by the service department and he acknowledged that I shouldn't have to do that so he offered to have a runner come and switch cars with me at my office. By the of the evening I not heard back from him and no runner came to switch cars. I called and was told that they were short on runners and I might have to wait another day or so. That was the last I have heard from Lexus. It's late afternoon on the following Tuesday and no contact. Tomorrow it will be a week since I was told a runner would come by. I'm amazed that the car was released from the service bay with these issues. Even if I give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe the bulb dislodged after leaving, I'm fairly certain it didn't change colors. The Lexus brand used to represent quality of work and excellent customer service. On this occasion, both are missing and what's worse is that when this issue is brought to their attention, there is no response, it's like they can't be bothered. I'm very disappointed.

He kept in touch with me during the negotiation and sale yet was never overly aggressive. He responded quickly to my on-line communications and did a great job of seeing to it that my experience was a pleasant and rewarding one. The Technology Support person was very knowledgeable and helpful in giving me the basics of the fantastic technological features found in this vehicle. The contract signing process was organized and efficient and it was also great to be introduced to the Parts and Service Consultants. I left in my new car feeling great about the entire experience. This should be the industry model for all luxury car sales. Thanks to all who put this team together.
