    New Cars 1st Service Apt

    This was my new Defenders first service appointment to fix some factory defect issues, nothing major. I was a bit taken back when I was told I had to wait over 3 weeks for an appointment, that wasn't ideal at all. I was asked if I was going to wait for the car or need a ride when I came in. I told them I would wait for the car so long as it was a shorter appointment, it was a simple repair the person scheduling said so waiting was an option. I got to the dealership ready to work for a few hours there, not a biggie given we are all working remotely now a days. So when I arrived for my appointment 3 plus weeks later I was told I couldn't wait because in actuality they would NOT be getting to my car that day and it would seen the following day. What in the world?? So they said they would give me a loaner car, mind you I bought the extended service warranty on the car (from them) and it included a loaner car for free. So I was beyond surprised when I was told I had to pay a required $20 fee for some sort of glass insurance (even though I have that on my auto insurance policy) and also it pre-pays for gas. Umm I always return loaner cars full so why would I prepay for fuel I might not even use fully? I was super annoyed at this point and then as I was walked out to the loaner car and I was given the cheapest smallest car ever (Toyota compact car), it wasn't even a Land Rover (ok yes this sounds snotty)I was pretty mush beyond pissed off. I am sorry I just bought a very expensive car 2 months ago from this very dealership and it was in for a warranty item and I was covered for a free loaner and then not only did I have to pay for it I was also given a car I would never drive not even if I went to rent it on my own. I don't feel safe in small cars and I have kids too who I don't ever put in small cars. Then as I was shuffled into this loaner car I was told I can't put my pet in it even though I have to take my dog to and from training daily which I do in my own car. So I was in a car I felt unsafe in, paying for it and unable to use it as needed either putting my kids in it or my dog. I was pretty unhappy about this experience sadly and not a great way to start a relationship with Land Rover. I had an Infiniti before and honestly the only reason I kept that car till it was 250k miles on it was because of how a down right AMAZING that my services advisor Juan was at Scottsdale Infiniti. I was always given a larger car, never charged for it and clearly I was outside of warranty and never had random restrictions on who or what could ride in the loaner car. So when I was in the process of buying the Land Rover I said that service was the #1 priority for me and knowing that I would be taken care of right was paramount to me. I always take care of my cars and only at the dealership so buying a LR was more about knowing that the car I was buying was inclusive of a service department experience that was as good as or better than what I had with Infiniti of Scottsdale over the past 11 years. I was beyond sad to realize that when rubber met the road and I needed service to be stellar that I was given a less than stellar 1st experience with LR. Now the service advisors are fine, no issue with staff but the policies and their MO with how the dealership chooses to treat their customers is my issue right now.

    Great Service

    Our ‘15 Range Rover Sport was due for new brakes and the typical scheduled maintenance. A simple call to Steve, our Service Advisor on Monday and we’re scheduled for service and a loaner on Thursday. I arrived at Jaguar/Land Rover of Chandler at 7am and am on my way with my Jag suv loaner by 7:20. Notified work was complete about 4:30. They also sent the invoice via email so that I could review at my leisure at home; and pay by credit card online. I returned at 9am the next day and retrieved my Sport freshly washed. I spent just under 5 minutes and was on my way- very convenient!

    Missing tags

    Using my spare YouTube account for this. I purchased my M4 mid August, delivered toward the end of August. Delivery delayed due to covid, but rectified by the dealership. Today is now December 13th, 2020, and I have STILL NOT received my license plates. I have contacted BOTH Bobby Perich (general manager), and Chad Hansen. Last I heard from them was almost 3 weeks ago, no answer to my last emails. Initially, I called for an update since I had not heard anything in regards to my plates for the whole month of September. No communication, no reply. Then October 2, 2020, and confirmed on my Ring doorbell, I received an envelope reading I need to send in my car inspection, which I didn’t even know I had to get done, and current insurance, which I of course had. Sent back with the overnight envelope. Thing is, the car addressed in this letter was a different car a Mercedes GLC. I purchased a BMW M4. I email and call several people to find out what is going on, to see if I was accidentally sent someone else’s paperwork. No answer for several days. I am then emailed, to follow the instructions since the paperwork was actually for me. I was out of town at this time. I had my inspection done when I came back home. I overnight the envelope. It is delivered October 14, 2020, and signed. Confirmed with tracking number. Since then, I have had to resend my inspection and insurance several times. No answer as to what exactly is going on, what happened to the original paperwork. I call DPS to see if they can see anything pending and if so, how long until receive my plates. DPS alerts me that aside from my state inspection, “nothing else has been started on the seller’s end.” I am livid at this point. I am also at the point where my temporary tags is almost expired, I have no answers. Communication on the dealership’s end has been vague, evasive, and borderline dismissive. If it’s taking this long to get regular tags, how long will it take to get temporary tags? I DO NOT have faith in this dealership at this point. I am about to leave for another covid contract, and need transportation with proper, legal tags. This dealerships actions and inactions have led me to see them in a very suspect, deplorable manner.

    Amazing, Marvelous Service on 11/ 05/20 after driving from CA and had accident cause by tire hit by debris on the highway. Hospitality, Care provided by Mr. Mel ( English Man Manager and his Team ) is worth every money and time. Running out of time they wait and kept service open after working hours . His help was unexpected and was all about the client not about the dealership !!! Thank you again !!!
