PLEASE DONT PURCHASE YOUR VEHICLE AT THIS LOCATION
by xxxx off customer from Detroit Michigan | October 15, 2020I purchased my Truck in july during covid my 1st mistake was dealing with Christopher Thomas terrible salesman the suppose 2 be manager Andrew Keller took over n he was very good at talking however he didn't keep his end of the bargain he over charged me for my Truck by 2000.00 n was suppose to add a warranty on as a bonus he charged me for that as well i been calling and had been up to the dealership several times and Christopher never told Andrew also finally i see Andrew he remembers me but doesn't know what im talking about typical anywho I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A CAR FROM THEM EVER IN LIFE. It saddens me that ppl have no heart just as long as you make a dollar you would sell garbage to a person who is already struggling to make it smh

by Willy from Ypsilanti | November 13, 2019Phoned in beforehand to see a certain vehicle that was advertised as for sale at their Dearborn location. Was told on the phone the car is on site. When I got there, I was told "sorry didn't know until just now: the car had just been moved the day before to a satellite dealership, but would I want to see a different car?"This seems to me the old baitn' switch. I was told that I could see my car the next day, but I already wasted an hour driving back and forth. I lost my faith in this dealership...
Customer Service Quality of Repair Buying Process Overall Facilities Shopped for a used carDoes Not recommend this dealer.Did Not purchase a vehicle.NEVER AGAIN.
by Fair-minded from Redford, MI | June 17, 2019I should have remembered what they are like. My bad. I bought my used Golf TDI a year ago. Then, within a week, I got a recall notice. Why had they let it leave the lot with an outstanding recall (airbag)? Derek Smith: didn't have the part. Asked them to examine driver's side window for the razor blade scratches from removing sticker. C. Landfair, sales: that's an aftermarket tint Fast Fwd. Last week brought it in for oil change/service. When I got it home noticed that headlight lens was damaged in shop. Took picture, but, no bring it back. Forget about it! They take no responsibility. I'm done with them. Full stop!
Customer Service Quality of Repair Buying Process Overall Facilities Came in for service or repairDoes Not recommend this dealer.Did purchase a vehicle.Sold used VW Beetle that needed thousands in work.
by ttk from Wyandotte, mi | June 14, 2019Purchased a used beetle at fair market value. After having the car for two weeks I learned the car burned (or leaked) 3 quarts of oil. Contacted the dealer and let them know hoping they would do the right thing and offer to fix the vehicle. They never answered my calls or emails. Lesson learned: at this point this was my problem. So I had the car towed in 2 months later because it wouldn’t start went into limp mode. When I received a call from the dealership to tell what the problem was I was told it needed $600 in work. I later learned from the receipt they had no idea what the problem was and charged me for 4 spark plugs. Also the service manger told me that it was common for VW s to burn 3 quarts of oil every 600 mile. Actual said “if I had a nickel for every time I heard that” Lesson learned: they will lie to your face but are pretty truthful on the receipt. Once I left a bad review the service dept I received a return call! This time things went better offered to bring my car in right away was going personally make sure it was taken care of... blah blah. Found a myriad of issues, multiple oil leaks, etc... even though I purchased the car with these issues, wanted to charge me $1900 for the repairs but was going to credit me back the original $600. We negotiated, eventually got to $1000 out the door. Felt pretty good about it till I looked at the receipt and learned the total repair was $1200 and the $600 was never credited and the receipt said I was told the repair would cost $1200... I went to la fontaine because I purchased a new vehicle a few years back and I trusted them. Unfortunately, my trust was misplaced. If you choose them be careful, read a lot and trust no one.
Customer Service Quality of Repair Buying Process Overall Facilities Shopped for a used carDoes Not recommend this dealer.Did purchase a vehicle.BEWARE - Dealer sells damaged vehicles
by Tom from Royal Oak | March 22, 2019BEWARE – predatory dealer sold me a damaged car and refuses to take accountability, despite playing nice and pretending they’ll fix it. I bought my car on 3/8/19 and took it back in a week and a half later (3/21/19) because I found out the car had BENT RIMS (I found this out because I noticed vibrations and I took it in to my local VW dealer for a warranty claim on 3/19/19. They told me 2 rear rims are bent and all 4 tires need immediate replacement). At LaFontaine, the service manager told me they’ll take care of it when I took in but they can’t take it now because they have no loaner vehicles available, told me to come back tomorrow. OK, sounds fair, I come back at 7:30am on 3/22/19 and guess what – no vehicles available, we’ll give you a call later and you can come in after work. They never call me, I call multiple times until I get a hold of the service manager who says that they’ll give me a call next week, blah blah. By now I’ve wasted like 5 hours going to this dealer who’s clearly playing me and has no intention of doing anything. The vehicle I purchased was Certified Pre-Owned (CPO), which means they’re supposed to do a detailed inspection before selling it. Clearly they either didn’t inspect it at all, or straight up LIE to their customers about the condition of the cars they sell. Very unprofessional – BE WARNED about doing business with this dealer.

by Kaitlyn Coady from Atlanta, Michigan | November 15, 2018Rudy Desantis made it possible for me to buy my dream car! It was quick and painless. Drove 4 hours to see the car and I have no regrets. I've been telling all my friends how awesome my experience was and when my fiance buys a new vehicle he told me he would only like to deal with Rudy because he came with me and saw how hard he worked for me and how cool he was. Thanks for everything! -Katie

by Volkswagen car from Dearborn, MI | November 04, 2018Chris Landfair is the worst salesperson, everything was great while buying my car, but after the sale I was no longer useful. My car needed repair a few days after I purchased it from Chris. I was very upset and took a day off of work for the repairs. They fixed them at no cost, but I was still upset that I needed the repairs. They assured me things were ok with the car. They were very short or rude with me every time I called. I noticed the air endlet cover was missing when I got my first oil change. I called Chris, he was short and rude. I sent him a picture of the missing part. Of course two weeks and counting and no word. They are very rude there. Find your Volkswagen somewhere else, unless you want to be treated like just a sale. The family thing is a joke!!!!!
