    My Experience with Johnson Lexus of Durham has been a ongoing nightmare since Memorial Day Monday (8/31). I seen a Pre-Owned 2013 GLK 350 over the weekend and decided to head there Monday Morning to see the vehicle. I booked a megabus ticket because I live in Washington DC, about 4.5 hours away so I was sure to call as soon as they opened Monday. I spoke with a Sales Rep name Mani A. who sent me his E-Card and confirmed my appointment for later that day around 2PM. I arrived to the Dealer at approximately 2 and made Contact with Mani who seemed to have forgotten which vehicle I was inquiring about. He initially thought I was visiting for another Model and told me that vehicle was at their Raleigh location (idk if he was confusing me with someone else) but after clearing up that misunderstanding and letting him know I was there for the GLK, he assured me that vehicle was on the lot, welcomed me to sit while he prepare the tags for the Test Drive. After about 5 minutes, he came back to tell me the vehicle was Sold. You mean to tell me in between the hours of 10-2 you couldn't let me know? (BUT IT GET WORSE) So after explaining to the Sales Rep. that I have no means of getting back home as I booked a one way and the inconvenienced he has caused me due to his lack of communication all he offered was an apology. After escalating the issue I spoke with Mr. David Marconi who introduced himself as the Director. I expressed my concerns, he told me due to the Holiday they wouldn't be able to cover my travel and that they would reimburse me for the travel. I spent approximately $380 in travel because I had to catch a last minute flight and Mr. Marconi assured me they would cut the check with no problem. 18 days later, no word from no one. I call David, just to find out he is no longer with the company and never held the director title! So you have employees going around lying about their authority?!!!!???? SO UNPROFESSIONAL, I can't believe this sort of behavior is coming from Lexus, its the only reason I agreed to pay for the flight back upfront is because they have such a good reputation but I feel as though they are sweeping this under the rug due to my race and age. DEFINITELY ESCALTING THIS.

    Single gal looking to trade my 2015 Mercedes e63 in. Best price I recieved for my trade. First lexus ever purchased. Garrett Been only 2 weeks on the job made the process super easy and quick. The car I wanted was not on the lot . No problem they delivered it to pinehurst and we did the paperwork electronically. Bill delivered my such and spent a great deal of time and care going over all the bells and whistles Unlike most dealers they did not treat me like a silly woman. I love my RX 350 sport super cool ride and loving my spirited red leather interior.

    Just bought a car from Johnson Lexus of Durham yesterday. Out of all the car experiences I have had car shopping, this one was the most personal. I knew exactly what I wanted when I walked in and drove away with it less than 2 hours later. Sergio answered all of my questions and concerns. He allowed the experience which is often stressful to be fun. Thank you Sergio!!! I love my car!

    Poor Service - Employees Need More Training

    I rarely write reviews, but things happened to me at the is dealership I did not like, and others need to know this. My first salesperson at this dealership was poorly trained (he did tell me up front he was new to the dealership). I wanted to buy a new 2020 Lexus RX 350 and this person tried to give me a 2019 to test drive telling me that they were no different than the 2020. I corrected him telling him they were not the same and he gave me a 2020 to test drive. During my pre and post drive he gave me wrong information about several things such as the Lexus could/could not do (such as remote start which they can do, he told me they could not). To be fair on other issues if he did not know the answer, he asked his coworkers and got me correct information. However, with the numbers of wrong information he gave me I felt I could not trust him and asked the Sales Manager for a sales replacement which was done. I believe the first salesperson problems are more a reflection of poor training by management which I told the Sales Manager. The second salesperson seemed knowledgeable about the Lexus RX. I wanted a certain configuration and color and had built this car from the Lexus website. This second salesperson told me that some of my configuration ( from the Lexus build website) was not possible such as the Blind Spot bundle with the Panoramic View Monitor feature was only available with the Luxury package and not the Premium Package. That is not true. I found later after searching online and talking to other dealerships that his bundle combination does exist (Blind Spot bundle with Panoramic View Monitor etc. and Premium Package). I confirmed an exact match of my car with a Lexus dealership in Indiana and a close match of the car I wanted with two other dealerships in Charlotte and Dallas with all three dealerships having one or more 2020 Lexus RX 350 with the Blind Spot Bundle with Panoramic View Monitor etc. with Premium package in their inventory. I believe this second salesperson was either also poorly trained, misinformed or tried to misinform me to sell me a car without the features I really wanted or to pay for a more expensive car ( the Luxury package ) for the features I wanted because they did not have the 2020 Lexus RX 350 in inventory with the specific combination or close to the specific combination that I wanted. If you come to this dealership to buy a car I recommend you do your research beforehand and come as a knowledgeable buyer so you can verify what is possible as it appears their staff is either poorly trained or misinformed etc.

    My husband and I were looking for a new car, we visited several dealerships in the area. Stopped by at Jonson Lexus of Durham, and we were lucky enough to meet a wonderful person and extremely professional and experienced in car industry Tim Carnes who will go miles just to make you satisfied and happy with the purchase. We were planning to buy one model but during the test drive we change our decision and Tim very patiently followed my husband from car to car to give us a chance to try as many cars as we want and it's fit our budget. He worked on the price with the most reasonable numbers to close the deal. We bought many cars but this is the first time to have such a nice and smooth experience with Tim. The management is customer-oriented as well. I would highly recommend Lexus of Durham over others in the area, they don't push you to just buy, they work for you!
