NEVER IN MY LIFE HAS THE CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE BEEN BETTER. I FULLY UNDERSTAND I WAS BUYING A PRE OWNED VEHICLE, BUT I WAS REALLY SUPRISED TO SEE HOW EXTENSIVELY THEY WENT THROUGH THE CAR BEFOR I BOUGHT IT. THE MANAGER BRANDON GAVE ME A CAR FAX SHOWING ALL THE REPAIRS THAT THEIR AUTO SHOP DID UPON BUYING THE CAR. ON TOP OF THAT I RECEIVED A FREE OIL CHANGE AND A 3000 MILE WARRANTY AT NO COST TO ME. READING SOME OF THE REVIEWS ON HERE REAFFIRMED MY NEED TO SHARE THIS EXPERIENCE. NOT ONLY AM I VERY PLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE AND HOW I WAS TREATED DURING THE PROCESS, THE MANAGER ACTUALLY HAS HIS CELL PHONE NUMBER ON HIS BUSINESS CARD IF I SHOULD EVER NEED HIM. SO IMPRESSED, NOW I KNOW WHY GENE GORMANS BEEN AROUND SO LONG....

by Daphne from Fort Myers Florida | December 04, 2013After shopping for weeks and running into pushy sales people from dealer to dealer, I finally ran into someone that was nice and had a warm welcome when we walked onto the lot. The young salesman Jason was easy to work with and I'm guessing was only in his early 20's. He helped me decide that my 2012 Honda Accord was the perfect vehicle for me. Bruce the finance manager also did a wonderful job on getting me an interest rate that I didn't even know was possible. I was very pleased with their professionalism and both of their personalities and would highly recommend buying a car there.

by Erica from Port Charlotte | December 04, 2013I purchased my used Mini that was in good condition. Aside from the headliner falling down and a few minor cosmetic issues, it is near perfect. The stipulation for me purchasing the car was repairing the headliner- which of course, was never fixed. When I brought it up to them, the manager said "Sure, bring it by. It will take a day." I go back to pick it up after work and all they did was glue it in one spot. Not only was I inconvenienced for the day for something that DIDN'T get remedied, but I inconvenienced other people too. Now I have to pay out of pocket to have it repaired, which is going to be an additional $280. My fault for taking Brandon, the manager, for his word. Also, they made a mistake on the paperwork for two different reasons for the loan. So they harassed me repeatedly while I was at work TWICE until I was able to fix THEIR mistake. When I finally made my way up to Punta Gorda from Venice, which is over an hour away, they weren't there- it was empty, when John, the salesman, said via text, that they would be there for me to remedy THEIR problem. Also, they never sent me my transferred registration, causing me potentially have serious consequences if my plates were ever run by a trooper. This is quite possibly the most poorly run dealership that I have ever used. If I had not liked the car so much, I would have gone elsewhere. This used car dealership is the epitome of what a horrible, lying, misleading dealership is. Brandon is a liar and an awful manager. I will never use GENE GORMAN'S ever again! Lesson learned.

My wife and I were at the dealership for about a total of 30 min. We pre-selected the car when the lot was closed and came back the next day for a test drive. The salesman Jason was great and the manager Bruce helped us extend the warranty even further than what that they already offered. Truly an awesome experience. Gene Gorman's are the good guys and my wife and I couldn't be happier.

by Kmoore from Punta gorda, FL | October 15, 2013The worst business I have ever dealt with. I purchased a Chevy s10 and from day one I had issues.The customer service was atrocious. The sales man by the name of Brandon harassed me on a daily basis. When I gave in and decided to purchase a vehicle I was told they would need to keep my license plate until I could get updated tags (which is Illegal) They then proceeded to "loose my license plate and I called the police. They did purchase me a new plate but only because I called the police and then proceeded to tell me I should have taken the license plate with me even though they told me not to. As for the car the night I drove if off the lot and drove it around the hose for the atf fluid blew, I imediately called and they took it in "to do me a favor" when I got it back and drove it home all four tires were flat because the failed to put the plug back ina. After all that two months later the transmission blew the radiator sprang a leak the truck was a lemon from day one.STAY AWAY!!!!! Also their referal program is fake my mother is still currently waiting on her $100 dollars a year and a half later. Thankfully about a week ago the vehicle was involved in an accident and is now total and I am free of the money pit!

by A.TTTT. from Fort Myers | May 18, 2013Do not go near this place, we bought a mini van here, sales man was ok. manager !!!!!!!! when we test drove the car, we felt a little vibration when going over 30mph and when shft to reverse. Sales man quickly said " ohh that could be anly a sparg plug ao a wire" I though, well if is only that it can be an easy fix and since th car still under warranty it will cover; the pprice of the mini van was really good for a 2012. you know what they say. " to good to be true". Well we took the van to a certified dodge dealer and guest what, they have to take the engine apart because one of the cylinder heads is misfiring !!! the valve is not sitting properly. But of course they don't tell you none of that when you buy the car haaa!!! we call the GENE GORMAN'S PREMIER AUTO SALES. And, well let me say,, Not the answer i was looking for. " you get what you pay for, right !! PEOPLE DON'T GO NEAR THIS PLACE PLEASE, AVOID HEADACHES, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, WHERE THEY HAVE BETTER CARS AND BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL SPREAD THE WORD OUT FOR EVERYONE TO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE TO BUY A CAR. !!

by James N. from Englewood, Florida | January 29, 2013My wife recently purchased a car from the Port Charlotte lot. While the salesman was extremely professional the store manager was extremely rude. When we went to the lot we were only looking.. We didn't have the funds to purchase the car at the time. My wife found a car she liked and we told the salesman that we would go home and think about it. The manager came out and stated that they had somebody driving all the way from Kissimmee to purchase the car that evening. All though this story was obviously made up the manager told my wife that she could write a check out for the car and that he would fill in the date later when she had the money. After driving the car several days it became obvious that the car had a transmission problem. There was also a delay in her receiving the funds to cover the check. When she informed the manager of this he became threatening and told my wife that he was going to put the check through and she would be prosecuted. He also continued to deny that the car had any problems. He told her that post dating a check was illegal (it was his idea to post date a check).

I would recommend any one of his stores and service departments. But the one that stands out most to me is the one in Port Charlotte. The salesman there are extremely helpful and the prices of the cars are very aggressive. We have bought are last 3 cars from the store in Port Charlotte. The salesman there seems they like to deal allot better.
