    Crap service and crap deals
by Lindsey from Raleigh, NC | August 18, 2020

I bought a car in February and am already having issues. No one will return my call. Ridiculous. I should not already be needing repairs and parts replaced this early into acquiring my vehicle.

    Bad Customer Service
by Meaghan Tyson from Raleigh. NC | August 28, 2019

Fred Anderson's Service Department is horrible and rude. I recently bought a 2019 RAV4 from in May. Literally, a week after having it my check engine light came on so I went to Fred Anderson to have it looked at. The guy who ran the code told me that I did not screw the cap on tight enough..proceeded to demonstrate how to put a gas cap on correctly. Then told me if it comes on again to go to Autozone to have them clear out. On top of me getting gas, not only does the check engine like on but you can smell gas EVERYTIME. After the most recent time the light came on, I took it back to Fred Anderson where I practically had to force them to keep my car to be tested because once again the service department try to blame me for not putting the gas cap on correctly. After about 30 minutes of them having my car, I recieved a call stating that my hose and ENTIRE gas tank was going to be replaced on my dime instead of it being covered under warranty because THEY claim a rodent chewed the hose. I am having a hard time understanding how I'm responsible for something that has been happening literally since I bought the car, I have no signs of rodents, and none of the other vehicles in my driveway have experienced this issue. Same goes for my work place. When I brought that up to the service manager, he stated it couldn't have happened at the dealership because the light would've come before I left. I struggle to believe this because it had less than 10 miles on the car when it was bought. Also another service worker proceeded to joke around stating that had two other brand new vehicles in back with the same issue. The service department was rude and talked down to me as if I had no basic knowledge of car part especially when it came the gas cap. I truly wish I never bought the RVA4, it's been a nightmare.

    Old car listings
by Looking online for cars from Apex, NC | August 26, 2019

I called about a 2000 Volvo C70 convertible listed as having 15,535 miles. I was told by the sales representative (L) it was a VERY old listing and they don't have that car anymore. When I asked if he thought continuing to list a car which is no longer available is dishonest and a way to bait people to contact them, his comment was, yeah...a different department takes care of that...we have two other volvos available though. No thank you. As I continued to look online, I found a few more listings like this from this same dealer.

    Don't Do It
by No from Raleigh, NC | July 13, 2019

I bought a used car from Fred Anderson Toyota a few weeks ago. As the sales person opened the driver's door for me to get in, the door handle was broken/defective. I stated then "that will need to be fixed if I decide to purchase" which I was told yes it would be. I drive it, like it and decide to buy. Reiterated at signing the need to fix the handle. Was told yes, bring it in next week and we'll fix it. Took it in, part was ordered and I returned the following week. Once that part was in place it didn't fix the issue. Another part had to be ordered. The sales person offered to come to my office since I'd already invested so much time. I said awesome, that works. This 3rd time however, sales person called to say not only was one more part was necessary, but the sales manager said he wasn't covering this repair. Claimed he said he was only going to "look" at it, not fix it. Integrity at it's finest. So you implied you would do the right thing, fix the knowingly broken handle to make a sale, then after 3 visits to your service department deny fixing it...this is what Fred Anderson calls The Family Store. Be forewarned if this is your choice of dealerships. My sales person is amazing by the way...it's management that lacks integrity and ethics.

    Bad Customer Service
by Tracey from Raleigh, NC | June 27, 2019

We purchased 2 of our vehicles through Fred Anderson in addition to having them serviced here. Part of the reason is because they offer the "family plan" and allow you to have your oil change done free when it's time. EXCEPT today they told us that because this last time we went too long before bringing it in because,.. you know.. life... they were no longer going to honor any more oil changes in the future... Now wait a minute,.. so we can buy under the premise that we have this feature, we can regularly have our vehicle serviced here and always get something added on that we have to pay for... and because we had one late oil change it's all voided?? Then when my husband tried to speak to someone they ignored him. I called to talk to the manager and was also ignored. Seriously, the customer service is horrible!!! We currently were looking to trade in BOTH of our vehicles for new ones. I spent a month convincing my husband it was time to trade up! Now we will go to Hendrick instead. Better pricing, better customer service at Hendrick! Fred Anderson has lost our lifetime of business.

Wonderful Service from Fred Anderson Toyota, Ralei
by Connie S. Boyd from Cary, NC | May 02, 2019

I have been dealing with Fred Anderson Toyota since my purchase of my 2002 brand new Rav 4 in 2002. On 4-3-2019, I brought my car in for the state inspection and 90,000 mile tune up. Michael O'Besso was my assistant service manager that day. He was very helpful, courteous, friendly, and kept me informed with what was being done to my car. I was extremely pleased with his service! Thank you Michael! (Sorry, but I continue to think the labor prices are too high! My only complaint!)

    Bait and switch
by Disappointed from Washington, dc | April 22, 2019

I use cars.com to find the vehicle we want. This place has kept a low priced, nicely optioned, BMW X3 on this website long after the vehicle was gone. I asked them to remove it, but all they want to do is to sell me something else. Cars.com took the complaint and advised I could leave a review. Being the X3 is still listed, here you go.

    The WORST CAR DEALERSHIP EVER
by Fred Anderson oyota from Raleigh, NC | February 21, 2019

The MOST RIDICULOUS people. All they care about is making you sign. They tried to sale me a car with HIGEST interest rate. They changed the internet 3 times. People PLEAS ask for what’s the interest rate is before you sign up anything. They are LIERS and FULL OF BS*. I went to Mark Jacobson toyota and they gave me the lowest rate with the car I wanted and with very good price.

Dealership Lies About Repairs Necessay 2 Gain $$
by David & Carolina Yellowmoon Rose from Raleigh, NC | September 04, 2018

Fan belt which only costs around $30 came off. To earn $$, service told us battery completely ruined & altenator bad. Charged wife 400$ to repair 30$ problem. Dealer lied to her. Battery not necessary to replace. Battery only 3 months old, only needed to be recharged, not replaced. I know for a fact that the only problem was that the fan belt had come off. I know for a fact that the battery was not completely ruined either. The altenator light came on and there was no power steering indicating that the fan belts had come off. I never thought that a dealership which expects that we tell them the truth would outright lie to us simply to gain money, but that's just exactly what this dealership's service department does and did to us, Fred Anderson Toyota Of Raleigh. We learned our lesson. Don't trust dealerships. I will never trust this dealership again, nor any other for that matter. I never knew a business like that openly lies so freely with the public it is counting on to earn money, even if they are making a living at it. Lying is wrong and i just expected more out of this dealership, the same as i do with all people i deal with who desire my money for a service rendered to me. Please note, that although Jarvis's name is mentioned as the one who attended us, I do not believe it was him who was actually lying to us, but rather, either his management or the mecanics who actually serviced the vehicle.
