    non disclosure of non working key fob

    I purchased a 2013 kia rio in 2015. The used car salesman told me they had put new batteries in the one and only key fob the car came with a second key fob was not offered and I neglected to think of its importance and did not ask for a second one to be included my bad. The same day i purchased the vehicle for my daughter i drove it to the store when i tried the key fob it didn't work new batteries didn't help . When i called back to the dealer the sales man outright lied and said he never told me they put new batteries in the key fob. They did nothing to resolve the issue of having been given a non working key fob. My advice don't trust a car salesman get everything in writing and make sure to try everything out yourself. Make sure you get 2 working key fobs at no extra charge or buy your car elsewhere. They blew it and lost my trust when they lied and wouldn't do anything to resolve the issue we have one key that has to be manually inserted into the key hole which was never disclosed on the test drive because the car was always unlocked. buyer beware!.

    Horrible experience

    This is by far the worse dealership that I have ever dealt with; they clearly advertised certain things about the vehicle; they even had the vin number of the vehicle which means that specific vehicle is equipped with what was advertised. The sales manager (Reza) refused to do anything about their false advertisement. Also the check engine light came on not too long after securing the vehicle; which means that they used the computer to manipulate the vehicle to Defraud What they have done violates the Virginia Consumer Protection Act § 59.1-196. Also§ 18.2-186. False statements to obtain property or credit; this states even if the communication or advertisement is online; the individual is liable; which makes them liable. Fairfax kia is truly a very unprofessional place of business With this being said I would not recommend anyone visit this place.

    Purchase of and Service for New 2019 Kia Niro PHEV

    i bought a new 2019 Kia Niro PHEV at this dealership in May, 2019, and brought it in for service the first time on 13 February 2020. The experience with both the purchase and service was excellent in all respects. The price was very competitive, the sales and service people were efficient and accommodating. the new vehicle was well and quickly prepped for delivery, and the recent service on the vehicle was fully completed well before the promised time. I would definitely recommend this dealership to others for both new car sales and service.

    Terrible Service

    Bought a used 2015 Optima SX and noted acceleration problem the first week. I was told I needed to take it to Kia since it was still under Manufacturer warranty. I was near this dealership and just stopped by to see if they could take it. I came there on a Thursday and was driven to Enterprise for a rental car. I was told they'd cover the rental if there was service needed. They never got to my car the next day or Saturday and would not call me and kept leaving me on hold when I called them. When I did get through I was told they were 'very busy' and I had not called in advance for an appointment so they were honoring their appointments first. I asked them then why didn't they just tell me they could not take the car and schedule me for an availability when I came there? On the next Monday they said they test drove it and did not note a problem. I had to pay for 4 days rental car and a week later my 'engine problem detected' message came on when I was driving back from lunch. I called them and was told can I bring the car there right now - I said no I was working and was asked why I'd called. When I was leaving the first time I spoke with another lady who had been waiting 2 weeks for her car and another man in the waiting area who had been there for the same issue 3 times. Yelp long time customer said service manager had changed - probably this year - and they were now very unreliable.

    Serv Advisor Kevin - was very informative and helpful in answering my questions concerning my warranty. Also gave suggestions what to do to get the same Service Tech to work on my vehicle. Very knowledgeable about Fairfax Service warranty program and how to stay on track. Car came back cleaner inside and out. Thanks

    WORST DEALERSHIP

    BEWARE! Horrendous customer service... I requested an email quote for a car that I was interested in. Got a response saying that they can get me a car that I want if I come in to the dealer in person even though it was showing up as not available at the dealer. I replied back saying I want to get a quote first before I go in, then got the response below. "I am sorry but like you said sold out. If you want to respect me with your time I will respect your time in return" I will never go back to this dealer.

    No frills, no surprises service department.

    I have taken my Sorento for service here since I purchased the car in 2007. I'm happy with the efficiency of the service provided by Kirlos and David, the two reps I typically interact with. The place is strangely no-nonsense and the atmosphere is kind of sterile. You get called on time, the service is performed within the allotted time period, and a rental car is available if needed. Yet one senses a depression in the atmosphere, like workers aren't thrilled to be there. The last time I went the coffee maker didn't work - okay, a very small issue but just the same, a bit of a downer at 7 am. Overall, they do their job, but a friendlier atmosphere wouldn't hurt.

    We visited the Fairfax Kia dealership on January 20, 2018, to explore leasing options since our Sportage 2016 lease was ending on February 27th.  While at the dealership, Sean Hawes and Brad Thomas strongly recommended that we lease the Kia Optima Hybrid Plug-in 2017 as a cheaper leasing alternative, and specifically mentioned that we would benefit from a tax credit of 4,919$.  This credit was mentioned several times to us as a way to save money throughout the length of our 2-year lease.  Although we had no intention to lease an Optima when we arrived at the dealership that day, we changed our minds and decided to lease the car specifically due to the tax benefits that Sean Hawes and Brad Thomas mentioned to us.  We trusted that they were telling us the truth about the tax credit.  Two weeks later, we found out that the tax credit is not available for people that lease a vehicle.  Rather, it is the dealership that benefits from the tax credit, and not the person who leases the car.  Obviously, we were surprised and disappointed to hear that the information we were given about the tax credit was wrong.  We would not have leased the Optima if we had known the truth. To make matters worse, since leasing the optima, we have been charged for the last payment of our previous car (the Sportage 2016).  Again, Sean Hawes and Brad Thomas assured us that Kia allowed for early trade-ins.  This meant that we would not be responsible for paying the last month for the Sportage, since we started a new lease with the Optima. Again and to be clear, we would not have turned in our Sportage early if we had been told that we would need to pay for 2 leases simultaneously, while only having one car. Clearly, we shouldn't be charged for 2 cars at the same time, once we started paying for the Optima lease. We have tried to reach Kia Fairfax several times since finding out about these things, but they have not returned our calls or messages. This lease has turned into a nightmare and we will not ever return to Kia Fairfax. Read less

    An ambitious but kind spirited lot!

    I came to Kia of Fairfax to look at a Mitsubishi Outlander, but it sold right after my dad and I arrived. The pre-owned director suggested we look at a 2014 Buick Encore instead, which we fell in love with. Unfortunately, the monthly payment was way out of my range and I had to walk away from the deal. However, the salesmen at Kia Fairfax called the following day to make a counter offer -- or two. They ended up dropping nearly all the fees and giving me a very fair price for the vehicle. When I drove back to their lot on the third day of negotiations, they practically rolled out a red carpet for me. I could tell that they were genuinely happy for me and not too terribly disappointed that they hadn't made more money on the sale. I'm so thankful that we made Fairfax Kia one of our stops while car shopping. What a blessing these gentleman were to deal with. The Buick I purchased is the nicest car I've ever driven. I find myself making up errands just to have an excuse to drive it!! :) It was a wonderful car buying experience; an answer to our prayers. Thanks God!!! :)
