Why Are They in Business?
by Befuddled from California | December 16, 2012They are the worst-of-the-worst to ever run a car dealership, using the kind of tactics that give car dealers a bad reputation. (1) The salesman actually hung up on me after I asked why I need to talk to him again after I provided all the details to someone else, who placed me on hold, regarding a specific car I was looking for. (2) It turned out he was Chris, the General Manager. (3) Someone else called me back, saying he was the "General, general, general, general manager." I kid you not, that's what he said, and said I wasn't treated right, and that I should come in. (4) When I arrived, of course they didn't have the "loss leader" car I wanted to see. (5) They stated they will beat the best price offered by any other dealer by $500. (6) The final price they offered was $1200 more than their advertised price (they can't even beat their own price?), but nowhere near the price offered by another dealer. I have much more detail, but why bother? These people shouldn't be in the car business. I wasted a good 3 hours of my life.

by Cody Hull from San Diego, CA | November 10, 2012My wife and I went into El Cajon Mitsubishi and we were completely amazed with our experience. We have never had such an easy, personalized car buying experience in our lives. We had just come from another dealership looking at a 2013 Outlander Sport and we were on the fence about the cost and our salesman. I called Chris at El Cajon Mitsubishi, who happens to be the GM, around 8:50pm on a Wednesday night, when the dealership closed at 9:00pm, and he said to come on in and he will stay until 2:00am if need be to make sure we were satisfied with the vehicle we wanted to purchase. We almost did just that. We ended up being in the dealership until a little after midnight only because we had such a great time visiting with our sales associate Alan and the GM Chris. We ended up eating dinner with the office since we did not have the opportunity before venturing into dealership. They, unfortunately, did not have the exact vehicle we decided on however they were able to locate one elsewhere and Alan went to pick it up and drove it personally in order to have it delivered for us within two days. Not only did we get the vehicle we wanted we also did not have to haggle with the price because they put their best offer on the table to begin with and it beat any offer we had received previously. Their main concern is the customer?s satisfaction not only with the vehicle but with the service they receive; definitely no games here at this dealership. We were very impressed and, as a result, I will never buy a car anywhere else! We even brought a friend along with us who also owns a Mitsubishi and he has now changed his preferred service location to El Cajon Mitsubishi due to the exceptional service we received. Thank you El Cajon Mitsubishi for such a great car buying experience and we look forward to seeing you at least every 3,000 miles.

by Danno from San Diego | July 16, 2012Test drove a used Mini at this dealer with my wife and the salesman. The salesman was helpful and friendly. The vehicle had a clutch that was slipping very badly and the clutch didn't grab until it was just about fully released. When I mentioned that to the manager, he denied that there was anything wrong with the unit. He's clearly trying to push a bad car on an uneducated buyer. I don't need that.
