by Patrick P from Mesa Az | January 14, 2020

Tried to give this dealer the benefit of the doubt after seeing bad reviews , I had chatted with there internet sales manager Amber Bonner about a 2019 Dodge Ram I wanted to purchase everything seemed great my main thing was if the Truck has Parking sensors that was my question to Amber who wrote back that the truck was available and that it has the sensors, I drove over there me being an hour away just to find out the truck did not have the sensors, very disappointed that I got the false information would definitely not recommend anyone coming here.

    From Start to Finish
by Frank Riddle II from Phoenix , AZ | December 20, 2019

Tim John and Jeremiah were great in getting everything together for me! I let them know about the 2 vehicles that I had in mind and the color on both and they came back with an exact match with the right price. I am now a proud owner of a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. Thanks to everyone at Courtesy Chevrolet for working with me.

Watch out. No integrity or service after the sale
by Brent Thomas from Mesa, AZ | December 16, 2019

Avoid these guys or keep your eyes wide open. They will screw you if at all possible. You have been warned. I have limited space so I will be brief. I had never bought a car from a dealership before. This was my first experience. I found what I wanted online but it was at a dealership across town. A friend recommended I go to the same dealership he used as they have access to all the same cars. The car I wanted was at the downtown Courtesy Chevrolet dealership. I went to the Superstition Springs Jeep dealership. I called the recommended salesman and he got the car transferred to his dealership for me. We showed up at the dealership and drove the car. I noticed that there were no floor mats and the center console tray was missing. The salesman told me that the main dealership doesn’t like it when other dealers “steal” their cars so they strip them before sending them out. He said he would order new mats for me. This was a 2018 Suburban Premier 2 wheel drive. It had been a rental and had 35,000 miles on it. The price was right at $42,000. There were some signs of use, but overall in great shape. We negotiate a price of $39,500. After I shook hands with the manager, we assumed the haggling was over. This was my mistake. The finance guys job is to slide in all kinds of fees and even change numbers. I didn’t pay attention like I should have and after going back over the documents, I found that he changed the sale price to $41,000, added in fees that are listed as “new car only” on the contract, and charged me for window tinting and loads of other stuff that were already present on the car to begin with. Very dishonest. He also sold me an extended warranty and maintenance plan. I thought this would be good because it had been a rental so I bought it. Additionally he sold me a GPS tracking feature. This has yet to work even though I paid over $500 for it. I asked about a refund but they refuse. It still doesn’t work. Two weeks after buying the car, the rear bumper started falling off. I inspected the bumper closely and noticed a small dent that had been touched up. Under the bumper I saw where the bumper was attached with some plastic welds that were all popped off. It looked as though these were popped by whatever damaged the bumper initially. I contacted the dealer. They refuse to work with me on fixing it. I offered to pay their cost for a new bumper, just to get it fixed. No. I went to the main Courtesy dealership. Again they said no. After months of trying to work things out with them, I am currently preparing a lawsuit to be filed later this month. It has been an exhausting experience. If they had any integrity they would have taken care of these issues and earned a customer for life who would recommend them to all their friends. This is not the case. I recommend you avoid this auto group completely. I would go into greater detail if I had room. There is much more to this story but I had to be brief.

Do not buy new or preowned from courtesy chevy
by Damon philips (manager) filip vresenovic (advisor) and others from Phoenix az | October 22, 2019

When I first bought my one owner, certified preowned 2015 chevy cruze with 40k miles last year, literally 11 or 12 months ago, I drove two states over and back, so I needed my first oil change 6 weeks after I bought the car. These dishonest courtesy chevy people tried to tell me I needed to pay for a power steering flush and a brake fluid flush in addition to my transmission leaking already. Clearly, that 200 point inspection for your certified pre-owned vehicles is complete garbage. I take it you just have some dishonest greaseball checking off a bunch of boxes and not doing any of the actual work because you sold this xxx to me with problems and dirty fluids. Unacceptable!!! But I let that slide because you said you'd take care of it. It took two or three more visits before it was taken care of. I will not work with filip vresenovic anymore or whatever his name is as he kept BSing or forgetting. He "took care" of my car when the coolant first leaked, and you guys had to give me a loaner to wait all week for a pipe to come in, then he didn't do a walk around with me with it, and good thing I'm smart and took pictures with your bay doors in the background before I left. When I came back you guys tried to blame the damage and scratches on the back bumper that were already there on me, but you couldn't because I had pictures from when I got it. It was not as simple as that either, it was some nasty in person conversation and a couple phone conversations before it was done. Another example of how shady and dishonest you people were and are..... No accountability there!!! Filip did not do his job or do the walk around, or was that the plan all along? Do you guys intentionally try to blame your customers for damage to your loaners because someone there did not want to be held accountable? Pathetic! Just last week I had to bring my 2015 Chevy Cruze back in there, as I have once every month or two since I've got it. The coolant and transmission are leaking again for the third or fourth time in the last 6 months. I'm fed up and now letting everyone know how terrible they are because they tried to start charging me this time saying it's no longer covered under the warranty because apparently they've already fixed every other part of the coolant system that can leak that is covered under the warranty. I have had the water pump replaced, the thermostat, Purge valves, two or three different times I've had to do axle seal leaks for the transmission, which was also leaking right after I bought the car as I mentioned above. It is completely unacceptable they tried to tell me to spend $200 to fix a coolant leak when it's never stopped leaking as far as I'm concerned, every time I go in there for an oil change or anything else the coolant leaking again. The worst part is I check my reservoir under my hood 2 or 3 times a week now paranoid and the level never changed until I went in for an oil change last Monday. Now suddenly it's dropping a half inch a day in coolant level. It's obvious that if they didn't cause the leak themselves "fixing" other stuff, then they definitely made it worse. I am talking to BBB today about them, and leaving this review everywhere I can for them. All of you in Phoenix looking for a new or certified pre owned vehicle should know that their certified pre-owned program, and their service is absolute garbage. They are liars and cheats; they are exactly what you hope to avoid by going to a major dealership. You should definitely shop next door at Honda, across the street at Toyota or down the street at Volkswagen. All fantastic choices I've had no issues with in the past. Courtesy Chevrolet is garbage do not spend your money there. To top it off, I sent a much more detailed email and this to their service manager Damon Phillips, and just like I expected, no reply whatsoever because there is no accountability there and they do not give a crap about their customers, only money, so do not spend yours there!!!

    Just buy elsewhere!
by Suburban from Phoenix az | October 14, 2019

I always heard people say that buying a vehicle was a nightmare, but I never lived it until now. First off, don't make your purchase with Jesse Leon, he sells and hides if you have a "we owe" we UNKNOWINGLY purchased a wrecked vehicle from this dealership and management swore it was not in any was involved in an accident. Weeks later their own service department states that in fact was in an accident. long story short DONT BUY at Courtesy Chevrolet, if you do, steer clear of Jesse Leon. side note- we were bought out of that vehicle to a new SUV(different sales guy), it has been a month now and they have yet to pay off our "trade in xxx" I'm sure funded and finalized means they have received the check... We gave them a 2nd chance and they just keep screwing the pooch. The least a dealership can do is return phone calls... at the very LEAST.
