Do NOT do business here - Not an honest company
    by Sara Enlow from Millstadt,IL | February 03, 2021

I highly recommend NOT purchasing a vehicle from this business. My daughter was sold 2 vehicles with bad engines. First time, was told it was a catalytic converter and would be covered under the Ford Warranty. Check engine light was on at time she bought it and when she got home (around 7 miles) from the dealership, it would not start. Had to call the salesman to jump the vehicle. After taking the vehicle to Mertz, they said it had a bad engine. We then told the business and they said they would buy it back and do a trade. 2nd vehicle same kind...Ford Escape same thing, bad engine. This time the light came on shortly after she bought it but had already left. Went to Millstadt, then to Oliver C Josephs. When she told me the check engine light came on again. I said maybe it is a simple thing. Vehicle was towed in the next day. They said it needed a new piece and that the thermostat would be changed out. She then got the car back a week later. It wouldn't run again, they held the car from around Sept. 30th til like Oct. 31st. This time they took the vehicle to Sunset Ford in Waterloo. They said the engine was bad due to it being driven badly. I said she had the vehicle for few hours, then all this happened. I believe it was driven badly prior to her purchasing the vehicle. However, the Ford company can't prove when it happened. In the end, the General Manager did not refund her in full. She was held accountable for monthly payments, taxes, title, and misc. fee's totaling $1469.00 in the end. For what, a vehicle she doesn't have. Again, I highly recommend not buying from this dealership

Great people to deal with. I got my first auto loan with Shane Thacker and I’d follow him anywhere he goes. He’s a legend in the car business where I’m from.

    Never buy from these thieves!
by Mark from Stl mo | December 31, 2020

These people are rude, and make up imaginary numbers to trick you to thinking you’re getting a good deal. Guess what you’re not that smart and people know your bs.

The Perfect Car Buying Experience . . period!!
by Tammy from Versailles, MO | July 01, 2020

They beat all my local dealerships hands down! I drove 4 hours out of my way to take my business to them because they had the car I wanted at the price I wanted to pay. Oh - I gave all my local dealerships the chance to compete - they couldn't top Dan Slaughter, Jeremy Carle and their team of experts. They will have my business again. Ide rather drive the extra miles and get what I want, with no pressure, than settle for something less.

    Shady Practices
    by 7xJeepOwner from St.Louis | June 13, 2020

Beware!!! The pricing listed online are TEASER prices. Let me start by saying I have purchased several Jeeps. This was by far the worst transaction(s) I have ever endured. We had interactions with 3 different members of their sales team all of which knew NOTHING about the vehicle. The Cars.com price states nothing of about rebates, or incentives. We went in today to purchase the vehicle at its Cars.com price $43,137. No haggling, done deal...or so I thought. We walked in and told him which car I wanted to purchase that didn't need to drive it and this was going to be the easiest sale he was going to make. HA! Salesperson comes back and places a paper on the desk at a price of $39,000 denoting me putting $5000 dollars down. I never mentioned putting any money down. I told him again...I will purchase at the advertised CARS.com price of $43,137. He played the "Let me talk to my manager game" and came back with pricing of $44K and some change. He said "Oh, well there are rebates and incentives you don't qualify for. Funny, I wasn't asked any questions to know if I would or wouldn't qualify , nor were there any of these stipulations mentioned on the listing for the car. Here's where things get interesting...I was texting with another sales person just 12 hours earlier (last evening) who said $43127 and done, hence the purpose of me driving to another state to purchase. It was supposed to be DONE!! They are a new dealership from what I was told by the salesperson and most of the sales staff is uneducated and amateurish at best on the products they are selling. Their sales and business tactics are extremely deceptive. I gave one star as the woman who answered the phone was polite. Again, I would not give this dealer an opportunity for your business!

This was my first experience at this dealership and I found it a very pleasant experience. I was extremely appreciative of the no pressure sales. Dan Slaughter was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and made sure everything was taken care of. I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

    Bid Shopping?
by Victor from Owensboro, KY | May 31, 2020

In a long history in and out of car dealerships and dealing with car salesman, this was the worst experience I've ever had. After finding the vehicle on cars.com, we reached an agreement over the phone after a couple days of negotiating and an hour later when I tried to give them my deposit, they told me that they were going to show it to another customer later that day and to wait and see. They ended up selling it out from under me. I had already purchased flight tickets to come to the dealership the next morning and gotten insurance added to my policy after we made the deal while my wife was removing the freeze from her credit. I was told that they wouldn't do another local customer wrong like they wouldn't do me wrong, when in fact that's exactly what they did. I have no evidence they shopped my agreement/sale to influence the buyer a couple hours later, but I've never experienced anything like this in a long history of buying/selling cars. We had an agreement, they sent me a sale sheet, almost initially took my deposit and credit app, and then told me to wait so they could show it to someone else later that day. Buyers beware here. I'd certainly never do business here.

This was my first experience at this dealership, and one thing I was extremely appreciative of with Columbia, was the no pressure sales. Dan Glaeser was extremely helpful and made sure I was taken care of. I look forward to doing business with them in the future.
