    Beware of Shady Practices. Cameron Specifically.

    I'm documenting my experience with Brothers Auto Sales, and Cameron Moore specifically, so that others have the ability to maintain caution around them. I purchased a 2019 vehicle from Cameron and Brothers in the winter of 2020. Since I live in Minnesota, I called Cameron to get details on the history of the vehicle and to get an idea of the condition of the vehicle before I made the long drive over to review it myself. One of the things I was explicit about asking was how much cosmetic damage the vehicle had. Being a 2019, I figured very little, but I wanted to make sure because of the long drive involved. Cameron assured me that he looked the vehicle over personally and didn't see anything worth mentioning. This confirmed for me that the drive would be worth it so I made the journey. Upon arrival, the vehicle wasn't washed. My father was accompanying me and asked if it could be washed. Cameron said that it's going to get dirty again right away so what's the point? The test drive went well and I decided to purchase the vehicle. However, when I stopped for the first time on my way home, I noticed that the snow and dirt had started to clear and there was a very large scratch on the driver's side passenger door. We're talking 4" long and deep. The only way that this would have been missed is if Cameron didn't actually review the vehicle as promised, or if he intentionally left the vehicle dirty because he knew the damage existed. I called Cameron up and explained what I found. He assured me that he and management would make it right. Over a series of calls and emails, Cameron admitted that the Brothers lot isn't in the best part of town and that the damage must have occurred as a result of local vandalism. No explanation as to why he didn't identify the damage right away though. He then asked me to get a quote for repair and send it over so that he and management could make it right. So I took time out of my day to visit the most reputable body shop that I know of to get an estimate. Once I received the estimate I sent it over to Cameron. Cameron was suddenly uninterested in making the situation right. The estimate was more than he expected is what he explained. Now, this should have been a reflection of the extent of the damage, but Cameron went dark. No responses to phone calls or emails. That's why I'm writing this today. If Cameron and Brothers Auto aren't interested in owning up to their mistake and/or shady business practices then potential buyers need to be aware of the danger in working with them. Cameron repeatedly told me how Brothers' reputation is their marketing. If that's the case, then the reality of their reputation needs to be made apparent.

    Buyer Beware!

    Buyer Beware! I dislike being taken advantage of, even if the amount is only a few hundred dollars. I purchased a one-year-old RAV4 vehicle from Brothers Auto Sales. The salesman handed me two keys, saying, “Here are a couple of keys for the vehicle.” The statement turned out to be false. I used one of keys to drive away from the dealer’s lot. On the way home, I stopped and tried the second key. It would not allow the engine to start. I eventually went to a Toyota repair facility. The repair technician and service manager pointed out (in writing) that, while the second key did contain a computer chip, the chip was made by TRW, rather than by Toyota’s supplier, Denso. Accordingly, the second key did not work. Someone had simply taken a blank, Toyota key and inserted a chip that happen to physically fit within the body of the Toyota key. I sent a polite email to the dealership, pointing out the error with the key. I left a phone message for the sales person who sold me the used vehicle. No luck. Once you drive off the lot, the dealership may ignore you if you point out that its personnel misstated the facts.

    I came across Brothers Auto Sales online while shopping for a nice and reasonably priced used car and was immediately impressed by the photos, number and quality of vehicles in stock to choose from and the dealership’s outstanding reputation based on previous testimonials. All of my expectations were exceeded when I met with Alex and Adam who provided exceptional customer service by quickly walking me through the process, answering my questions and getting me into a beautiful Chevy Equinox right away for an outstanding deal! The entire transaction went very smoothly and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. I would highly recommend Brothers Auto Sales to anyone looking to purchase a high quality vehicle in impeccable condition at a bargain price, the customer service is top notch and second to none!

    I looked at vehicles at a number of dealerships, both online and in person. Brothers Auto Sales provided great online photos, unlike some of the others, and was the only place that I did not feel pressured into a sale. Alex’s customer service was top notch! He answered all of my questions in a kind, honest manner. If you want a great vehicle and purchase experience, I would highly recommend Brothers Auto Sales in Sioux Falls, SD!

    Best car buying experience I’ve ever had. Cameron was so patient and pleasant and offered absolutely no pressure whatsoever. They found me the exact car I was searching for and they did not hassle me to try to get me to settle on one that they had on their lot. These guys will work with you to find you the car that makes you happy. For the first time ever, I didn’t feel intimidated when I walked into their dealership. Their prices are also very reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone.

    I can't say enough about Nick and the whole group at Brothers Auto Sales. It was the easiest experience I've had purchasing a car. Every person I encountered was professional, personable, funny, helpful and accommodating. I chose the coldest day of the year to make a decision on a car. This group of guys volunteered to go clean and detail it for me in the sub-zero weather so I could make a good decision. Needless to say I drove home last night smiling from ear to ear because I am in love with this car. Thanks Nick, Adam and the whole group I appreciate everything you did for me!

    My wife and I were looking fora good used vehicle. We were burned by the two largest car dealers in Sioux Falls, so we went to a few other car dealers. Brothers Auto was a fantastic place to do business with. There were a few snafus but you can only blame the postal service for them.
