    Fraudulent Misleading False Advertising
by Thomas Fox from Eagle Mountain, UT | November 15, 2019

Misleading and False Advertising on KSL. They advertised a 2020 Tacoma SR5 "SR5" "SR5" "5", not the SR, but the SR5 for $31800. I inquired about it and got back a quote from Jalessa H for $30,031. I told the Jalessa Hopper or H something that I am buying the car, she should get the paper ready and send them by email. Eventually I got the papers and there was a $1000 hidden fee and it said it was the "SR". There is normally a $3000 price difference or more between the SR and the SR5. However, since it was an advertised model I insisted that I am buying the SR5 for that price that I was quoted, not the SR. It was advertised after all. And dealers have to be held to what they advertise, otherwise it is false advertising (I have the screen shots to proof it). Of course, you can imagine, they weaseled themselves out of it and even wrote me an email back that "our relationship cannot be salvaged" and that I am not welcome there. I bought 2 New Toyota-s there the past 2 years. Wow, that is laughable, as if I care. But I care and want to caution the consumers of false advertising and these misleading "LURE" practices perpetrated by Brent Brown Toyota and other dealers. False advertising is illegal, and consumers can report it to consumer protection and the Fair Trade Association of the USA, although Brent Brown denies this..... of course. At the very least, if argued that there are some 'small font' disclaimers on their website, it is still deceitful and does not deserve to remain in business, such a dealership. An advertised price and model even by mistake, which it was not as they claimed - because they have not made an effort to change or remove the ad - a dealer needs to stand behind it anyway. Otherwise it represents false advertising and needs to be stopped in order to prevent consumers from being mistreated, or defrauded. Brent Brown is not the only one who has these poor deceitful practices. It's called lying. Lying in business is fraud. It's that simple.

    Do NOT buy from here!
by Brent brown from Orem , Utah | October 16, 2019

My daughter and son in law who just got married- who are in college, purchased their very first car from here 2 weeks ago- they paid around $7,500 for a Toyota Prius. They haven’t even paid their first month payment yet on this car and The engine blew just 2 weeks after purchasing this car through this dealership. The car was BONE dry of any oil and the engine is toast- We have never in our life been treated like this. Brent Brown Toyota takes zero responsibility in the cars they sell. Stay AWAY! My daughter now has to pay a car payment for 4 years and she only got to drive the car for 2 weeks... Where is the integrity and honor in the cars you sell Brent Brown Toyota and the customer service. You should make this right with this young couple buying their VERY first car.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SNAKES!
by Daniel J Cameron from Orem | March 01, 2019

DO NOT GO HERE FOR A USED CAR! Any and all excitement I felt in getting my 2016 Rav4 was completely lost after I was rushed through the signing of the sales papers, and while waiting for my car to be finished with getting detailed and rust proofed I looked through the sales papers realized I was financed for 3000 more than I expected!!! I went and asked the financial expert, more like con artist what the deal was and he explained that the extra 3000 was for the additional "comprehensive" warranty. The whole time I was lead to believe that the comprehensive warranty was included along with the certified pre owned already included by Toyota! While I test drove the car, I was talked up on how great these cars are, and reliable, then when getting financing, Everyone I talked to were happy to tell me how great this whole warranty thing is, always including the comprehensive warranty as part of the whole package, and never! NEVER mentioning that the comprehensive part was $3000. Then when it came time to sign the papers, we talked about what my payments would be at 72 and 75 months etc, but not what the total cost was! Like a snake, was rushed right through the sign here, and initial heres! By the time I realized what happened I was completely flabbergasted!! I didn't know what to do, and I was absolutely no longer excited about getting what to me was the newest car I had ever owned! Everyone kept telling me to enjoy my Rav4 but after getting swindled like this all I feel is disgust and disappointed, and won't be happy until this thing is paid off. Again! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SNAKES!

READ BEFORE MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID!
by Anise from Orem, UT | February 09, 2019

Before reading please give this a like and share so that people can know the truth!! My husband and I purchased a car from Brent Brown Toyota in Orem, UT on January 19th. Right off the bat we started having problems ( engine light turned on, slow tire leak, windshield wiper sprayer doesn't work, spare key doesn't work, automatic start doesn't work.) the list goes on. I took it back and told the General sales manager at the time the problems we were having and he said that to wait until our "warranty was valid" so over 30 days to fix anything so I did. Skip to yesterday, our Jeep Grand Cherokee died. DIED PEOPLE!!!!!!! It doesn't turn on, anything! AFTER LESS THAN A MONTH! I went in today to talk to them and they say I need to sign more paperwork. Interesting enough they are now trying to change our monthly payment to almost $200 MORE A MONTH!!! And to top it off the finance guy who sold us our "fully covered warranty" said that we didn't actually have that warranty plan but would change it so that we did to make us cooperative!! So they wanted us to wait the 30 days so that they wouldn't have to pay for anything and if we did just wait for our warranty we would've been screwed because the warranty that was actually sold to us literally covers almost nothing! I would not recommend them to anyone!! They are shady and crooked and tried to take advantage of a young married couple!

HAD TRUCK ALL DAY, LIED ABOUT EVEN LOOKING AT IT!
by Cameron from Orem, UT | September 02, 2018

HAD TRUCK ALL DAY, LIED ABOUT EVEN LOOKING AT IT! - Took my Tacoma in at 9 AM for an issue that I experience every day, which Toyota has published a service bulletin (TSB) on. I even mentioned the TSB when dropping it off. 3 PM, I finally get a call stating they "could not reproduce the issue, so nothing they can do." Asked them to just apply the TSB fix anyway and they told me there was no TSB for that issue, and nothing for my VIN. I looked it up and gave them the TSB #, which my VIN is clearly on, and they said they'd go check again. At 5:45 PM (6 PM close) they call back saying they "still couldn't reproduce the issue, because it requires a master tech to take lots of measurements and laser readings to get it to precise temperatures, and no master techs available today." None of that is remotely relevant to the issue, and I was looking directly at the TSB, which also made no mention of any of it. At this point, I made up my mind that I was going to a different dealer for the fix, so I went to pick up the truck, and THE MILEAGE HAD NOT CHANGED SINCE I DROPPED IT OFF!! THEY CLEARLY NEVER EVEN TRIED TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE, LIED TO ME MULTIPLE TIMES, AND KEPT MY TRUCK ALL DAY FOR NO REASON!!!

    Overpriced and dishonest
by coreyb from Orem, UT | June 20, 2018

Went in to get servicing done and the rep. never gave me a quote up front. When the time came to pick up my car, the bill came to $1350. The only servicing that was done was replacement of the break-pads, oil-change, engine-filter and fluid-fill. They like to rip you off. Don't go here. Ever. Essentially they overcharged for the break-pad replacement ($600) and then charged me for the 30k miles servicing (another $600) even though I had a voucher for the oil-change. They were supposed to skip the transmission fluid change (because I had done it about 6 months prior with the same servicing center). So they charged me for an oil change that I had already paid for, and also for a transmission-fluid change that wasn't supposed to happen. I had been getting my vehicle serviced here for the last year, but this one time has completely changed my perspective on the company. Some of their employees are completely dishonest and will do what they can to swindle you out of money.

    Defective tires
by Jose from Orem ut | November 25, 2017

I have a 2017 Prius that was purchased in May has 8000 miles on the car bought brand new off the lot. I went in today because I just noticed that my two right tires which are toyo brand have bulged on the side. All three associates that tryed to help me said that I hit something with the side off my car. But there is no damage at all to the right side of my car. Any little scratch that they saw they tried and pointed it out to say I did something .I feel like they gave me the run around saying they can't replace the tires because they don't deal with toyo but why would you sell cars with these tires if your not gonna stand behind the product.Ive researched these tires on Prius and there is several complaints with the exact same issue. I paid over 20 thousand for this car 7 months ago and now they expect be to pay a couple more hundred for new tires when this is a manufactur defect and tires only have 8000 miles and like I said the car is 7 months old .I've been a loyal customer to Toyota but with them treating me this why and not standing behind what they sell it's extremely upsetting. I understand that if you guys replace my tires u will not hit your monthly goal but you guys should do what is right and replace defective tires even if you have one bad job were you don't make money .My old Prius the battery went out so I bought a new car on the spot. No doubt in our mind we pick Toyota because there suppose to have quality cars with quality parts, and if I wanted some junk that I know would not warranty anything I would of bought some cheap brand. You guys should stand behind what you sell and if can't then don't sell it .

    Horrible service
    by Ryan from Orem,ut | September 30, 2017

Brought my car in for a small issue they charged me and replaced parts that didn't need to be replaced ,they left the old spark plugs under the hood .i took it back and said they hadnt fixed it ,they called hours later to say it would cost another few hundred to fix but they wouldn't charge labor.well once again they fixed another part that didn't need to be fixed and still the issue.today I took it back and hours later they found the problem! But it's going to cost 500 more dollars, I told them I didn't have the money for it and I would come pick it up .when I got there they actually tried to charge me another 110 dollars just to check what they were suppose to have fixed 600$ ago.i asked for the manager and after a long justified talk he waved the 110 $ and told me not to bring it in again for the sound it was making,I told him not to worry that I will NEVER go there again. I got the problem fixed a hour later by a local mechanic that dosnt even work just with toyotas for a quarter of what they wanted and the best part is it wasn't what they said it was. Place is a joke
