    Highly recommend. Spencer, Jesse and Dustin made the process of buying a used truck easy and fun. They had the truck ready for a test drive when we showed up and gave us plenty of space to ask questions and make our decision. They were quick to respond with answers and respectful of our time and our requirements. There was a great team environment and can-do attitude with no pressured sales tactics. We were really pleased with our experience buying a truck from them.

    Corvette buying NIGHTMARE!!!!!

    I wanted to buy a 2020 corvette and have been trying to get one ordered through Bill Kay Chevrolet for approx 8 months (today is 5/4/2020) I have been waiting on a phone call from "Their corvette Specialist" for the entire 8 months after calling them at least 10 times and never received a return call from above mentioned "specialist" or anyone else for that matter (I did talk to a "Spencer" who stated he would down load my info and get the paperwork together so I could sign and put down my $5000.00 reserve fee which he actually stated (3) times). Today, I called AGAIN and this time, I am told I can order the car I want but I have to pay $20,000.00 (AT THE LEAST) over the sticker price of approx $80,000.00 as that is their "new policy" (PRICE GOUGING) on all 2020 and 2021 vettes. I said have a nice day, called another Chevy dealer and my car is ordered for the sticker price of approx $80,000.00 and the whole ordeal took approx. 30 minutes. If you are looking to buy a 2020 or 2021 Vette, go anywhere else then Bill Kay as you will get terrible customer service and RIDICULOUS mark ups on the new vette.

    Blindsided to say the least

    Came here to buy a car they had for months (found out for more then 3 months) more racked up miles and because we would not finance thru them we do not get the price offered online?! Used car manager cut me off the whole conversation and pointed out to him after his aggressive lies that he was talking about the WRONG car to us! Showed no interest in selling the car due to not financing with them Lol! That's a joke! I am not walking in there to give you the best deal with my hard earned money, I am walking in here looking to get the best deal for my money, already pre-authorized with my own bank and good rate and most importantly to make a purchase.

    Wish I saw it coming

    I am big on customer service, no matter your background I feel everyone should be treated with courtesy/respect. We arrived to Bill Kay Chevrolet on Saturday from Chicago to check out a Buick Envision 2018 silver, a nice lady (Leticia) came out right away and greeted us and asked if we need help. We tell her exactly what we want to see, took it for a test drive (we love the car). We want to buy so we follow her into the building sit at her desk. Had questions about the warranty since we were looking for a Certified used vehicle. She honestly admitted she just started will bring over a manager (Jeff) this guy was to the point, which is fine. What is not fine is being cut off multiple times when I had a question, then I asked if the price is negotiable he said NO, I can maybe take a couple hundred off but I am aggressive with my cars on lot, he mentioned he was not charging for the Certification of this vehicle which cost 995.00 (which I found out was a lie later on) it is part of the selling price, then he also said I can throw in a couple oil changes (found out he said another lie) it was already included with the certification that we get with the dealer (2 oil changes). The whole time he talked, he was talking to us about the wrong car! What a joke! After I corrected him on the vehicle we are looking at he said well if you decide to buy with us let us know. UMM sure guy after you had an aggressive approach? I said ok no problem we are still looking so I told the sales lady if you decide to work with us on talking numbers let us know. Do not want to deal with that guy, just you. I get a text message from the nice lady (Leticia) the next day and said she wants to work with us, so we talked about seeing what can be done. We planned to meet with her again the next business day at 6pm. The day of us meeting with her, I receive a phone call at 6:11pm saying that the price online (cars.com) is only if your going to finance thru our dealer!? huh?? I have my own financing bank I am going to use. She apologized she just found out by her GM and wanted us to know before we got there( 15 mile drive). My issue is not with the sales girl it was entirely on the managers that tried to pull a fast one. The site never said anything about restrictions on the financial side that plus I had a certificate saying the price was certified for 10 days. Which I was happy to show them when we got there. I never thought I would get so much push back from a dealer. It was very clear that they did NOT want to sell US the vehicle. They have this car sitting in there lot for months (manager admitted that) your racking up miles and do not want to sell if for what its posted online? No problem we are going to another dealer were they will be happy to sell me a car and actually want me to be a happy customer. All things work out in the long run, maybe I saved myself a dramatic process and headaches. Nonetheless, thank you to Leticia for trying and being the ONLY nice person that Saturday afternoon.

    Don't trust the Bill Kay internet price

    I went into test drive A 2019 Chevy Volt and that part of my visit went fine. Where it all went down hill was getting the price for this car. The price was $4000 more than what they advertised on Cars.Com. The explanation they gave me was I wasn't trading a car in, so I asked what the price would be if I paid cash and they said the same price. They could only give me the Cars.Com price if I would finance for 60 months and trade in a car. Very deceptive pricing so I won't be buying anything from this dealer.

    Online price not honored

    Online price was not honored. Was informed by dealership, after test drive, that to get the online price you must trade-in a vehicle and finance the new vehicle through them. Neither of those requirements is disclosed here on cars.com or on the dealership's website. Price is $2,000 more if you don't meet their "requirements". Scammy, very poor experience.

    No thanks bill Kay

    My 2011 Chevy Cruze was in excellent condition before I took it in to bill kay Chevy for an oil change. Two days after the oil change, my car smelled like it was on fire. I took it to Oil Depot in Lisle, and I was told that there was absolutely no oil in my car. It was bone dry and the check engine light was on. I took the car back to bill jay to have the work done, and they charged me $450 out of pocket, even though the repairs should have been covered by my warranty. After that, the check engine light came on again within a few days, took it back to bill Kay again and they charged me $750 out of pocket. The check engine light went on AGAIN, and I was told it might just be a computer glitch in my car. Well, I just had my emissions test, and I failed 7 codes. Not sure what it’s going to cost me just yet, but I know I can’t afford it. Did I mention bill Kay is supposedly a friend of my father’s? If that’s how bill Kay treats his friends, how do you think bill Kay will treat you? They even have the nerve to incessantly call me asking if I’d like to sell my car to them so they can turn around and flip it for more. Thanks bill Kay, but no thanks. I’d go just about anywhere before I let you take more of my money ¿

    Terrible Financing Department and Process

    Initiated a possible purchase on a specific low mileage Corvette (extremely overpriced at first). We agreed on a price and a trade in value that was fair. Had them do the finance dance and run my credit to purchase...went downhill from there. My FICO credit monitoring service lit up like a Christmas Tree with inquiries. One bank inquiries twice, for the same bank. I told them to stop immediately with the inquiries s the amount they had pinged should have found financing. Never had any troubles for the truck I was trading in or any other car, including Corvettes that I have bought. No communication after this point even though I was disturbed at work 5 times by them over all this. Fast forward to tomorrow, my FICO starts lighting up again after I had told them to stop making these illegal inquiries into my credit without my authorization. I immediately called for the Manager and had somebody call me back that ran the Corvettes and Classics realm of Kay Chevrolet. His response was ridiculous to the point of insulting..."ah, we don't really have any control over that and it's not our fault." So exactly who is in charge of my personal information and keeps running my credit to a crazy amount of inquiries? Needless to say they said I was approved at some ridiculous term that doesn't even fit my credit profile. I am now contemplating a lawsuit to have them remove the illegal inquiries into my credit after I told them to stop, and for not protecting my personal information since they had no control over it. I certainly wasn't singing my credit and petitioning all these banks, some multiple times. 1.) The Corvettes are way overpriced so negotiate hard. 2.) Very inflexible and unknowledgable finance staff with a serious lack of connections in the auto lending world. 3.) No internal process for running somebody's credit or protecting their personal information from an outside party engaging in this. I gave them permission to check my credit, not shotgun it to the entire financial establishment of the automotive world with stupid loan terms. Save yourself and look elsewhere for a collectible car...like California, Florida, or Texas.
