My appointment ran late and they still worked on getting my car in as soon as I was able to get there. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Work was done quickly and I was back on the road. Thank you. by Ryan from Ashland | August 24, 2020Reviews My wife's 2011 Honda Odyssey went in for its routin maintenance, Timing belt replacement, along with water pump and everything else that should be replaced with a timing belt. All parts replaced were replaced with Honda OEM parts, that I supplied. 30 days later belt snapped ruining the engine. There excuse for it happening wasn't a faulty part, or installer error it was the cam shaft locked up, causing the belt to snap, and charged my wife another $400.00 to tell her that. Ya ok, my wife may have believed your BS excuse but anyone that knows anything about vehicle engines would know better. Cam shafts lock up as a result of a timing belt snapping, but they are NEVER the cause of it. And FYI timing belts don't just snap. There is ALWAYS a cause a reason why, either a faulty water pump, or even a faulty tensioner bearing. Bolts not torqued to specs and loosened up. I have even seen a cross threaded tensioner bolt cause a belt to snap. But never a cam shaft locking up. NEVER that never happens without warning. Most women don't know anything about vehicles, and you knew that and used it to your advantage. To lie to her and take more money from her. I guarantee it was installer error and you would think they would want to find out the cause, but not if it's going to cost them money. Shame on your mechanic for making lame excuses and the service department management for backing those lame excuses. My advise to anyone thinking about bringing there vehicle to ASHLAND HONDA TOYOTA'S service department is DONT. And if you are a woman, DEFINITELY DONT. Because I supplied the Honda OEM parts they refuse to warranty there mechanics work. I don't like leaving bad reviews for any business, but if I can save someone else from what we have had to deal with then it's worth it. The way I see it is I paid them over one thousand dollars to destroy my vehicle.
