    Shady dealership
by R Lefor from Clovis, Ca | March 21, 2020

I knew what vehicle I wanted and Lithia Ford was the closest dealership that had what I wanted. I sat through their silly sales games while they tried to sell me a used Explorer for $36,000, about $4,000-$6,000 over other Explorers or the same year and trim. They tried to get me to put a down payment on the Explorer without even being able to test drive it.They refused to lower the price, so I left. After I left the car salesmen sent me an email stating it was the information on the Explorer I looked at. It was not the same Explorer, it was a cheaper model. Trying to purchase a vehicle from Lithia Ford was a hassle and a waist of time. Actions speak louder than words. The actions of this dealership show little integrity. I would never trust a major purchase from a shady dealership.

    Great Service
by Joe from Oakhurst, Ca | January 19, 2020

I got to the dealership at 6:30 and it’s about a 45 minute drive there. I’m retired and disabled and most times I have to sit for hours or the day when I come in. Dan the service man took time to go over needed services but what I really appreciated was he valued my time said he would have me done by 10:30 and actually had it done just before 10. I didn’t have to keep going to the desk to ask what the progress was he came out to me.

My sidewall of my tire was damaged hitting a curb blowing my tire out. Ford roadside was horrible. Once I was towed in Dan took great care of getting me a new tire. The shuttle was gone and it was pouring rain and I hadn’t had lunch. Dan got his truck and took me to McDonald’s. Above and beyond and appreciated.

    Fraudulent
by Jose from Fresno ca | September 25, 2019

If the salesperson that greets you is Jesus Escobar.... ask for someone else or better yet find another dealer. Jesus sold me a New/used car that had 60 miles but was bought and returned. Now that is no big deal but after 2 Months of owning the vehicle I received a renewal notice for tags. 700 dollars !? I quickly called Jesus to which he said it was a mistake and that he would take of it. Fast forward 2 months after my tags expired and still no sticker. ( I called Jesus several times during this time) . Last time I spoke to Jesus one of his comments was "You can call me till you are blue in the face! We are not going to fix it " . Finally I spoke to the GM , which acted like he didn't know what was happening. He finally gave me $598 dollars for the renewal fees. Which by the way ended up being $876 with the late fees. I filed a complaint with DMV investigations. Which may not get me the difference but hopefully it brings attention to what they did.

    Frauds DO NOT BUY Here
by DavidDisatiffiedCustomer from Fresno | March 12, 2019

Was not told car was AS-IS (no limited warrenty or otherwise), until my credit was run several times and signing final papers with scammie finance officer who not only tried to plus sale me a warrenty (by the way that's how they make extra commission.) Plus tried to up my down payment which was prior agreed on. The finance office made several attempts at changing agreed on terms to higher payments and down payments. Then once I refused and he settled for the original deal.or no deal. I find out my car has not been serviced as told. No washer fuild, no coolant, no AC needs to be recharged...Going to look into Sueing at this point.

    Poor saleswoman
by Aquila Grayson from Fresno | January 09, 2019

I bought my car in June of 2018 and was told the tags would be sent to me only to receive the notice in the mail that their due. When I spoke to finance they told me a bunch of BS. Go to Lithia Nissan they’ve been awesome. Do not see Theresa at this company and make sure everything is included in your paperwork before you signe. This place suck and I’m taking action on this company, in all my years of buying cars I’ve never had to pay my tags the first year. Their shady and just want a sale!

    Bad service
by Ian J from Sandy, OR | November 25, 2017

The check engine light started flashing, the low pressure oil light started flashing and the oil can light came on my 2013 Ford C-Max. I have always checked the oil levels and there are no oil leaks. I had my car towed to Surburban Ford over 2 weeks ago (7/31/17). It is still under warranty and they have still not even looked at it. They have given me a rental car to drive and tell me just to enjoy. Is this the way that Ford handles warranty issues? I have almost always bought Fords, but have to see if this continues. Is this the way that Surburban Ford handles auto problems? They have had plenty of time to start working on my car. They tell me that I may not get my car back for a month or more. It seems like they will never start working on it. Continuing my above review today on 11/1/17: Surburban, finally, after 2 ½ months, installed the new engine in my car and, at first, all seemed fine. I have an RV and flat towed my car to California, where I drove it and the check engine light came on again and the air conditioning did not work. I took the car to Lithia Ford, in Fresno to have it checked out. They found that an engine sensor was not installed correctly and that a transducer was not connected. Lithia stated that the air conditioner was not charged with freon. Tim, the Service Manager at Surburban, tells me that they did recharge the air conditioning system. Lithia Ford did a vacuum test, which passed, so there were supposedly no leaks. They said that the air was never recharged. The kicker now is that Surburban refuses to pay the $338 that Lithia Ford is charging to diagnose and recharge the air. Suburban Ford paid $2340 for a rental car and took 2 ½ months to repair my car and now they refuse to pay $338 to make the car right. I have talked to Erinn, the General Manager and Tim, the Service Manager at Suburban and they both refuse to pay the charge from Lithia Ford. They are unwilling to stand behind their work. They can pay $2340 for a rental car, but not pay $338 to fix their mistake with the air. This says a lot about this dealership. They claim to deal with customers in an honest and fair way, but have done just the opposite with me, as they refuse to totally stand behind their work. To Surburban Ford’s credit, they did put in a new engine, except for a couple of loose ends that they should have paid for. They did a good job installing the new engine, but why would that take 2 ½ months. After I had waited a month or so for them to start working on my car they told me that I could take it somewhere else, as it was taking so long. That would have been a total waste of a month. Overall, they seem like a good dealership, but just need to complete a job 100% or pay for someone else to complete the job. That is their responsibility. To continue with the above saga, The work that Lithia Ford did was useless. They had a week to work on my car. After I towed my car to Paicines,, CA and drove it, the check engine light came on and the air conditioning still did not work. I took my car to Tiffany Ford in Hollister: CA. They tightened up a nut in the ac system and totally reset the computer to recognize the new engine. Lithia Ford stated that they vacuum tested the ac, found no leaks and recharged the system. As there was a loose nut in the ac system that Tiffany found, that seemed to be a story from Lithia. I am not sure why it was difficult to know that the computer had to be totally reset when you install a new engine. I feel that Lithia Ford just did not know what they were doing. Their techs need training. Tiffany Ford really new what they we’re doing, but they charge $185 per hour for labor, so any work there is very expensive. Their charge was about $550. Their story is that they have to charge this much as they are losing employees to other dealerships that pay more, so they have to charge $185 per hour for labor. As they know what they are doing it may be worth it.
