    BUYERS BEWARE
by D from San Diego CA | August 29, 2019

Please save the hassle and 7 day headache and choose another location to buy your vehicle!!!! I cannot stress this enough that if you are a female or even by yourself THEY WILL TRY TO SWINDLE YOU. This isn't my first go around with buying a car, I know the business and knew exactly what I wanted and had the money prior to contacting them. IF YOU DO NOT FINANCE WITH THEM THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE A SECOND CLASS CITIZEN. I was quoted a # (w/taxes and fees included) after visiting the dealership and once I had to sign papers and they "found out I wasn't financing with them" (they were told prior to my first visit and pretended that they didn't know) THEY RAISED THE PRICE ALMOST 3K. also, if you have prior financing from your bank THEY WILL STILL RUN YOUR CREDIT, AGAIN, A HARD INQUIRY. (Not all dealerships do this I went to another one and they did not run credit, FYI) We asked to speak with a manager and were told he would be with us shortly, after 20 minutes of waiting we were told he was with a customer and unable to see us (he was in the back not hidden at all joking around with other salesman). ALEXIS THE INTERNET MANAGER needs to work on customer service skills, we were at her desk and She wouldn't even make eye contact with us, didn't speak to us after we KINDLY asked for a manger, and pretended she didn't hear us and kept typing at her computer WHILE WE WERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. Throughout all the mishaps that happened a week prior ie: them selling the car from under us, "losing" the keys when we came to see the car in person, and even giving us a hard time about financing, we still reached out nicely and to close the deal without complaining or making a big deal and we were nothing but accommodating when they mysteriously "lost" the keys to car and didn't know where it was. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE AND AVOID BEING TREATED LIKE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. We found another dealership 5 minutes after leaving that accommodated our needs.

    Bad Idea
by S Young from San Diego | August 22, 2019

Came in after I set up a test drive online. I was approached by a new salesman and interrupted by another to take over. I went for a test drive. Once I was back in the office to compare prices. I was asked what my last payments were and was told to hold on came back and said "my manager said that is fine" what is fine??? what did we agree to??? no papers shown??? all my info was put into the system only to be told "I have nothing in writing to show right now but I will once you are ready to buy." Please dont waste your time with this dealership. To make it worse I was never contacted again.

    Excellent Service Again
by LA from San Diego, CA | August 22, 2019

Had routine Jeep service this week. Assisted by Billy Amaral in their Service Dept. He is highly professional, experienced and knowledgeable. On every service visit I've had for a few years now, he takes the time to ensure I understand what is needed and why - and is glad to address my questions. He - and the service team he works with - clearly have an interest in having very satisfied customers.

Bait and switch! Do not buy from this dealership
by Jane doe from San Diego, CA | July 15, 2019

Awful bait and switch! Internet price is what got us in which offered many discounts. We go see the truck! Hmmmm we like it. Sales rep then says that there is about $7,000 worth of options on the truck that are not included on the price advertised? Hmmmmm..... ok! So the truck is this X amount plus 7k...... feeling disappointed and still loving the truck we tell the sales rep. (Knocking only $2,000 off the x amount plus the 7k) if they will sell it for that much we will buy it. He says cool! Come inside. Had us fill out credit application and runs our credit. Credit score. Which is in the high 800’s. Apparently tier one in their verbiage. Some other guy comes over and gives me the price of the truck and payments and the price is x amount plus 7k plus and an additional 5k. xxx! They say some of those discounts don’t apply because our credit is so good?????? xxx again....... so we are being penalized? It was bait and switch to get us in the door. I regret giving my personal information and wasting 2 hours of my day. They can take their fake deals with them. I will go buy a truck at a dealership that is honest. Dishonesty and businesses trying to take advantage of the consumer should be reported. Save your self the head ache. Go somewhere else. I should of read the reviews before wasting my time.

    AVOID
by CA from San Diego, CA | May 10, 2019

Going to Kearny Mesa Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge was one of the absolute worst sales experiences I've had. Went looking for a used Jeep and found something we liked. The car was listed at an incredibly reasonable price online. When we arrived at the lot we looked around but could not find the vehicle pictured or priced online. The only make and year of the vehicle we were looking for that was on the lot was 2K more than what was listed online and had some bizarre hood decals on it. When we asked for assistance, the sales rep was unsure of the lot inventory and informed us that the online vehicle sold. When he returned, he corrected himself and said the more expensive vehicle with the decal was the same one listed online. Clear bait and switch. When we went on a test drive the sales rep had 0 knowledge about the car, didn't really engage with me and my husband, didn't even give directions on where we were going in the test drive. I went my own way and ended up on the freeway. When I asked where I could turn around, the sales rep told me he didn't know because this wasn't the right test drive route...HUH?? When we returned to the dealership, we decided to try to negotiate (because that deal was sweet). The sales rep refused to negotiate price until we filled out a credit application...the only issue was that we were paying cash for the car...no credit of financing needed. When he refused, we decided to leave and try some other options. We returned again because we could find anything to match the online deal that brought us in to begin with. So we worked with another sales rep who was just about as clueless as the first one and went on another test drive. She at least tried to engage us but told us a story about how a repair tech crashed a customers car...which she found particularly amusing. We return to start negotiating price. We were told via text that the used car manager was willing to drop the price of the car by 1K. GREAT! As we were negotiating, the sales rep informed us that the price was firm (would not honor the 1K discount). They also informed us that we would be paying approximately 1500 dollars more than the list price for optional "upgrades" added by the dealer. We said we didn't want them, they said tough. I asked to speak to the used car sales manager and the sales rep brought me some "Internet Director" who came with a break down of the price and condescendingly explained their pricing. I showed him screen shots of the previously listed price, the text message from the representative indicating they would drop the price by 1K, and how it was a little deceptive to list one price online and not honor that price on the same day on the lot. That conversation didn't go anywhere so again I asked to speak to the used car sales manager. The Internet Overlord disappeared and brought back an ogre of a man who was not wearing a name tag and did not clarify his title. We again explained the situation with the previous listing and discount, how we are paying cash, and would like to negotiate the price. He flat out refused and tried to push us into financing for 66 months with them. He had a chart and said you can just buy it at this price and finance for 66 months and you would "only" be paying 333 dollars per month. He then shoved the paper at me and my husband, got up and walked away telling us "It's really not that hard, is it" with the most condescending tone I've heard. We looked over the paperwork and walked. We walked over to Kearny Mesa Volkswagen and were greeted by a really nice sales rep. He showed us a car and we got to chatting. Apparently Kearny Mesa Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge was purchased by some big company a few months ago, gutted the staff and brought in their own people. It's been really good business for Kearny Mesa Volkswagen because buyers get fed up with the antics at the Jeep dealership and end up there. Long story short, don't buy from these sleazeballs.

    Exceptional Service!
by LAB from Alpine | April 17, 2019

I drive 20 miles out of my way, past two other Jeep dealerships just to have my Rubicon serviced by KM CDJ. From the scheduling of the appointment through the completion of the service, they are professional, friendly and service oriented. And the lounge is the best in San Diego County!

Horrible place to buy a car. Lazy
by Travis Wilson from Coronado | July 13, 2018

Lazy, deceiving people. Will tell you what you want to hear to get the car sold. I was duped because I've had good experiences in the past with other dealerships but this one brings the skeeziness back to the car sales world. The vehicle I bought is nice but this dealership is not. Take it somewhere else folks.
